    Pros +

    • Very nice clean room etc
    • Room good, food good, but it was cold in the hotel and our room. Staff did not say they had only one boiler working when we arrived.
    • Central location. Friendly staff. Very good evening meal. Car park

    Cons -

    • Lound intermittent banging all night which stopped me sleeping and spoiled my stay
    • We only drink decaf tea or coffee so it would be nice to have some in the room.
    • Our room was next to the lift which we could quite clearly hear banging and clanking through night. If we were staying longer than one night I’d have asked to be moved. Breakfast just in heated cabinets, so food wasn’t overly warm. Plates not heated so food was cold before finishing. Shame as the meal the previous evening was great.

Breakfast was great, good selection of hot and cold items. The staff were all very helpful, especially in the restaurant, taking time to find something suitable for my partner who needs gluten and dairy free food. Great location, we weren’t aware of the big fair in the market place outside the front door when we booked, it was noisy but couldn’t be heard inside the hotel.

Heating system wasn’t working properly and they were awaiting spare parts. It was chilly in the room so had a very quick shower in the morning.

The hotel is right in tge centre of King's Lynn near to all the historic sites. The bed was comfortable and the room was big enough. Breakfast was excellent with lots of gluton free options. There is an electric vehicle charging point in the carpark that works well.

The room was cold. The hotel heating system was awaiting repair but the rooms might still be a little cold even with a fully functioning system.

Breakfast was good, however the room was too small and cold, very noisy with workers early 5.30 am onwards

Excellent staff, friendly and efficient - beautifully maintained hotel, lovely breakfast.

Parking in hotel car park was more expensive than around the corner on Surrey Street. No direct access from hotel car park to hotel - have to walk up a dark lane to the front of the building - not great for a lone female arriving in the dark.

The location of the hotel, friendliness & helpfulness of the staff.

The slight water damage in our room where it appears that there was some leak from the shower through the wall into the bedroom.

    7GoddardPosted on: 2-18-2026

Location was great - very central and convenient for our needs. Parking was adjacent to the hotel.

We were allocated a room overlooking the market square which was hosting the annual "Mart" - a fun fair. Unfortunately the noise was intolerable and we therefore moved to another room which was fine. The hotel should have been aware of this possibility and re-allocated us to a quieter room at the time of booking.

    Pleasant

Picked the wrong time with a fair ground outside the window.....but wasn't too bad Car park is a tight squeeze

This was our second stay, and once again we had a great experience. The reception staff were very welcoming, the rooms were extremely spacious, and the bathroom was spotless. The highlight had to be the bed — wonderfully large and incredibly comfortable. We also loved the staircase; it’s such a lovely feature. Not that our first stay wasn’t nice — it was — but this visit was especially impressive.Greg and Becky

Breakfast was slow coming out. But when it did come out was very nice.

There was no clear direction as to where I was going for the room it felt like I was in the attic

I asked about the fitness room and wasn’t clear as to how I get there

    Good

The tap in the bathroom only had hot water so had to go downstairs and get a bottle of water from bar.

The breakfast was very good. Excellent food and service. Staff were very friendly and professional. We ate at the restaurant on two nights also and the food and the staff were amazing.

    Location

Room was cold but they did provide another heater.

Lovely central location, room very comfortable, staff friendly and polite. Good value for money.

The Bathroom was abit dated, could do with a freshen up. Door had wood flaking at the bottom, shower tray filled with water whilst in use. I did share my concerns with the staff.Breakfast was lovely, only criticism the self serve hot buffet wasn't very hot when we got to it. Overall a pleasant stay.
