The Hoste and The Vine House Hotels

The location is, if course, fabulous. The staff were delightful, and extremely helpful. I made a mistake and booked a room with a bed that was a bit small for us, and despite being very full, every effort was made to successfully find us a room with a bigger bed. My wife had mussels for dinner which had not been properly cleaned by the supplier and, once again, there was no quibble, an alternative meal was quickly prepared, and the cost of our bottle of wine was waived as a goodwill gesture. The beer was kept very well, and we loved the small in-house cinema room.

Truthfully our first room was a little tired but I believe the owners are in the middle of a refurbishment program. I do now appreciate that the hotel welcomes dogs but, at times. it felt like we were eating in kennels. Not all owners treated their dog like a dog, and some fed them surreptitiously from the table. I had also forgotten it was half-term. None of which is, of course, a problem but if dining in the company of dogs in particular is something you don't like, book carefully or, at the very least choose your dining times carefully. On the other hand, if you love other peoples dogs around, this will be a little piece of heaven.

Lovely hotel and staff, food was amazing, the facilities really good and the location was wonderful.

We arrived at approximately 4:30 and there were absolutely no parking spaces left, we had to park on the road further down in the village. Only a minor problem but if it had been raining it would have been an issue.

Could only access one bar for a drink if you are a staying guest at times it was so busy at the main bar took too long to get a drink

Beautiful decor well laid out with comfortable coming spaces

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable mattress very hard but that could just be personal preferences

Bedroom was across the road, it was a rainy night, no help from staff. Room was tiny and overheated.Reception and bar service was very poor.

Our room was lovely, it was spacious, clean, and warm. Only downside of the room was the window was close to a boiler pipe that was noisy on and off throughout the night.

Everything, it’s quirky, staff extremely friendly and efficient. Rooms lovely, love the honesty goodies box and minibar. Complimentary brownies were to die for. Lovely evening meal and breakfast

There was nothing I didn’t like

Everywhere you go in Norfolk people are welcoming and nice, the same goes for the Hoste, very warm. Both rooms were comfortable and the included breakfast was more than enough to get you through an entire day. Food and service at the bar were great and the fireplace certainly set the ambiance. Burnham Market is also a really good place to stay with lovely shops and restaurants

Great location, good value for money and comfortable room

The room was really clean the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had lovely shower gel and bath salts. Very quite and peaceful

Always liked the Hoste, so it was a great place to gave our wedding meal and stay

Noone was able to mix any of the cocktails we wanted. Prior to our stay I enquired about arranging champagne and xabapes on arrival. I was advised to contact the events team which I did. However, I never heard back.

Ambience, staff, food, electric chargers

we have stayed here several times in previous years - as always the staff were fantastic and the food quality good. Room 6 over the bar was to small to include the dog, sink cracked and dressing gowns very frayed. Moved to room 9 where the extractor fan in the bathroom was "jet engine "noisy as on its last legswe had to clear plates off tables to get seated for dinner as the staff numbers not adequatephotos available on request

It has become obvious that Youngs have taken a well run family hotel and reduced staffing, maintenance and have little idea what a well loved country hotel should look like - shame on you

Characterful building, very clean, good parking

Shower wasn’t working, had to change rooms after one night although not a major issue and sorted quickly by staff.

The relaxation areas where a lovely touch and much appreciated. Breakfast choice very good.Cosy bar and the staff very helpful.
