In the beautiful Hampshire countryside, this colonial-style hotel has a pool, a sauna and free parking. Marwell Zoo is opposite the hotel and both Winchester and Southampton are within a 10-mile radius for the property. Each room at the Marwell Hotel has a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and free tea and coffee making facilities. Many rooms have woodlands views, while all have a private bathroom. The Dining Room Restaurant provides a menu based on locally sourced, seasonal produce. Serving breakfast and a dinner menu, the relaxed bar and lounge also offers a range of drinks. Guests have free use of the leisure center which features an indoor heated swimming pool. Marwell Hotel’s golf center, with two 18-hole courses, is within a few minutes’ drive. Southampton’s shops and bars, and Winchester’s historic center are both around 20 minutes’ drive.

Important Info:
A credit card is required at the hotel as a guarantee. Children 0-2 years old are free of charge if sleeping in existing beds. Children 3-12 years old will pay a GBP 10 supplement on top of the rate, per child, per night, which will be added by the hotel when you check in. People older than 13 years are considered adults, so the hotel will add a GBP 15 supplement on top of the rate at check-in. Pets can be accommodated at an extra fee of GBP 10 per night. A GBP 150 deposit applies when traveling with pets, and any pets need to be confirmed with the property in advance. - Great located. Near Winchester zoo. Hotel room had a balcony leading into woodlands. Amazing Room service was great and staff mostly good.
- Its in such a good location for an overnight stay before a day at the zoo, which is a great zoo. Unfortunately the positives end there. This is a tired out, run down hotel with a complete lack of awareness of its pricing vs what it offers its guests. The owners should take a long hard look at what they offer and their associated pricing. The dirty tide mark in the pool ? The crumbling places of the hotel ? the old and cracked bathrooms? The old and saggy beds ? The lack of air conditioning? The weed ridden gardens ? Im not sure where they start. But frankly to charge the rates they do for a hotel in such a state of disrepair is completely unwarranted and entirely dishonest.
