Big rooms, Sauna,steam room and pool,

Everthing is just perfect Stuff room people food parking All the time when I stay here is more amazing time that is my hotel to stay Thank you very much for all the stuff I appreciate it ❤️

Size of rooms and facilities. Lovely powerful shower and hot water all the time.Room warm and additional heater provided as only 2/3 degree centigrade outside.Plentry of free parking with spaces always avaiable.Lovely pool and spa use for guest.In countryside and quiet but 5 minutes to Newbury Town by car.Lovely friendly staff.Did not have breakfast or dinner as out.

Spam sent on my Whatsapp sent with my full name dates staying and link asking for my credit card details puporting to be from the hotel. Rang hotel and informed spam so blocked and deteled.Later found out breach at Booking.com.Booking.com have not contacted me yet on what private and personal information was hacked and weather details of my credit card taken. Please ask booking.com to resond .

Beautiful big room, very reasonable price

Easy to park. Spacious rooms. Comfortable bed.

Carpets in the room were stained, no fridge in the room, decor was dirty, bath was really dates, lift was so slow, old and very shaky, nothing was sign posted properly, pictures made it look amazing but definitely upset my date on valentines as I booked it expecting it to be amazing and was in a really bad state so it looked cheap.

Lovely spa facilities, swimming pool, sauna, steam room Jacuzzi, very good gym, the food was also very good, room was a good size.

The key card kept disabling its self, reception did say was being updated soon. There was a cupboard for a fridge but no fridge in it, also room needed to be dusted up high, curtains and ceiling full of cobwebs

Convenient

It’s a boring business hotel and very basic. Had to ask for an extra towel as two people stayed in the room and not one. As a spa hotel robes would have been nice so that you are encouraged and able to use the spa, but no.

Room was quite hot and I couldn't open the window. Treatments were not available on a Sunday

- Staff members working at the bar and reception were very friendly and were a big highlight of my enjoyment at the hotel.- The room size was quite surprising, I expected it to be smaller, so this was a pleasant surprise.- The watermark restaurant downstairs is nice, decor is good and the food comes very quickly. I also want to add how delicious their brownie is, I ordered 3 in total with custard, even now I'm still craving another...- Afternoon tea was ok, for £30 I still expected a bit more. I've had cheaper afternoon teas that were better in terms of the bread not being fresh, and just sliced bread with crusts cut off. However I did eat the mountain of clotted cream we had.

- Parts of the hotel show signs of aging and it really needs refurbishment, especially outside. It looks scruffy looking outside, white plastic balcony chairs and peeling paint is never a good look.- My bedsheets had spots of blood on them as I arrived. They were stains rather than fresh I think but I was quite uncomfortable about this, asked reception to have it stripped and changed.Carrying on with the bedroom theme:- Nothing in the mini bar fridge at all, nothing complimentary in there.- I didn't realise we got free biscuits till the second time they cleaned my room,.so I was missing complimentary things I never even knew I had.- It smelt really musty, I happened to pass a couple of the cleaners and I have to say I didn't hear or see a single hoover, which would explain why It smelt so musty. That's a general assumption however, I personally believe they just sweep the bits with crumbs and don't bother because of short staff.- Poor staff are having to work 7 days due to constant staff sickness.- Banging above me on the first night, slamming doors at the early hours of the morning.- Morning after I was awoken due to my back hurting so the mattress was not very good.- Morning after that I was awoken by the sound of the maintenance team hammering something at about 9AM. I complained about this and it had stopped. I went back to sleep after going for some breakfast because I was really tired, not sleeping well and the fire alarm goes off at 10:30/11AM!! No pre-warning to this, no signs I noticed saying they tested it on that particular day.- The maintenance staff were spoiling my stay a bit. Almost seeming argumentative with other staff, I had to peak my head round because it sounded like someone was shouting and being awkward, I heard vulgar language a couple times around the pool area and when I'm sitting in the bar.- Breakfast was average to be honest, felt it was missing a few things. Whole thing felt a bit cheap.

Great gym & leisure facilities, large pool. Comfortable room.

Bathroom needs updating, the round toilet had a square seat which didn't quite fit properly.Shower over bath requires updating, a shower enclosure is preferable for most people.

Lovely sized bedroom. Comfortable room. Very clean. Excellent breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Staff professional and friendly. Nice pool. Good parking.

I think the rooms can do with a refurbished or oainting to bring them to a good standard. The menu is still the same when l visited in September.

Bar and food service was good, rooms big and spacious

Window door was slightly broken and didn’t close properly so could smell cigarette smoke from outside the room below.

Bathroom was old, bath stained, ventilation poor, peeling ceiling above bath.

The staff in the sports facility area was kind and helpful. The hotel is in a great location.

On our arrival, at the check in, we had to wait a little before the employee arrived, we arrived later afternoon. The wait wasn't much of an issue but the lack of communication from the employee was! Once we received the room card the employee left in a hurry and didn't provide any information about the facilities, inform us that the lift that was broken, or how to locate the pool, restaurant, etc. Given the main lift was out of order, they could have mentioned the second lift! The shower was only temperature was lukewarm(more on the cool side). The range was from very cold to a chilled warm(reported).
