Given it was Valentine’s night and v busy and we were there for a birthday. The service and quaff good was excellent. We had to preorder but all good cooked and presented superbly

    Rooms were cold

    10MarkPosted on: 2-18-2026

    Staff was friendly

It was too cold. Fire door left open all night.

Peace and quiet, good room, fantastic surroundings.

The food in the restaurant wasn't the best and being picky the beer choice at the bar was poor, 3 V average lagers, no Real ale, IPAs or Craft beer.

    Clean room location was gud

Bad was not comfortable it’s moving and shower was not good because about water pressure not enough that’s why I left the hotel on same early morning

The room, the park and food quality

    Rooms with little sound proof

    8NataliePosted on: 2-16-2026

Really lovely grounds and good facilities. Staff were so welcoming and kind to my dog

I think booking.com should be upfront about the extra charges for dogs. I assumed that was in the price but I was charged extra when I arrived. Also house keeping let themselves in our home 2 hours before check out

Really lovely and highly professional staff. It’s very clear they take pride in the service they provide and the surroundings. The reception, breakfast and restaurant setting, presentation and service were exceptional. Despite not exploring, everything looked very inviting. Just a random choice for a short escape. Definitely will stay again!

    Honestly - nothing negative.

Location is great, rooms are well set out and our visit this time was very good. Staff are always pleasant and the breakfast is decent too. Always enjoy our time whenever my partner and I stay at Wokefield Estate.

Beautiful setting, plenty of on site parking, comfortable room and excellent customer service.

Everything was as we expected. Room was a little tired, needs a coat paint on the woodwork.

    10KasiaPosted on: 2-4-2026

Spacious, clean, well maintained, welcoming, cosy and generally high standard

N/A Maybe later check out would allow a bit longer morning stay at the spa facility

    9NatashaPosted on: 2-2-2026

Lovely spacious room with a chair and light for reading. Bath AND shower.Fantastic breakfast with vegetarian options and healthy options such as fruit smoothies and smashed avocado - my favourite!

The heating was turned up to maximum on arrival, so the room was very hot.

Very grand, but warm and comfortable feel.Surrounded by open grassland and quiet. Everything you might need provided. The higher spec rooms very large with seperate bedroom and bathroom with both a lovely bath and a shower. Comfortable beds. Everything clean and tidy. A wide choice for breakfast although fried eggs a bit cold. Safe, plentiful parking.

Not much to criticise. Booking in at reception of our family group into three executive rooms was frustratingly very slow even though we were seen almost straight away.As a very large grand building it meant there is a lot of walking along corridors. We booked as a family group and let it known it was for a wedding group, yet we were dispersed on three seperate floors and directions. We had booked weeks before so thought it could have been arranged for us to be grouped together.

    2RogerPosted on: 1-31-2026

It was not suitable for a hotel for a disabled person. Accommodation was spread out and there was not restaraunt in the same building as the room.

    9SharonPosted on: 1-29-2026

Spacious, clean, spa area was great, room was fantastic, much bigger than expected. Good choice of areas to eat.

Room, except having to do do a balacing act in the bath come shower....VERY narrow curved bath

Resteraunt facilities...no seating in the evening & hotel didnt seem busy. Also the same Resteraunt in the morning for Breakfast, although more seating available as i was in there quite early, the only seat with lighting above them were the ones on the outer edge which was filled up straight away. This left seat in the center area with very poor lighting which actually left it such that you couldnt see everything on your plate.

The Size of the room. And we were lucky to have a big bath aswell. The lady at Reception upgraded us for free to stay in the Mansion house.

There was nothing to complain about
