- We are returning guests, very lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Dexters steak restaurant is excellent, and so was the breakfast . We also use the pub next door, which always has a good atmosphere
Cons -
- My only real criticism is that the shower needs attention. It was mouldy on the silicon seals and shower head.

Nothing,we enjoy it there
It’s a lovely quiet hotel , decorated tastefully and sympathetic to its rich history . The breakfast was amazing and our stay was excellent value .
Our only gripe and it is small, is that the pillows could have been softer .
Had a lovely stay - room was fantastic , comfy , clean and spacious - breakfast was really good - we had evening meal in restaurant - worth every penny - great staff , will be back xxxx
Its position
The staff were either dour or over- gushing. The food was overpriced. We both had rib eye steaks, as did 2 ladies at the next door table, and all our steaks were sinewy, dry and tasteless and definitely not worth the £33 each charged! The ladies next to us complained to the waiter and were told that he would inform the chef. Nothing more was heard. We won’t be staying here again
Breakfast was fantastic and the staff very accomodating.
I would have liked to have eaten at Dexter's but couldn't get a table even though I'd tried to book 3 weeks in advance. Book early if you're planning a stay!
Staff very polite and very helpful when I asked for assistance. Breakfast for one delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed the coziness of the hotel
Nothing we didn’t like or enjoyed
This was our third visit we love the hotel and the local area. Has a lovely warm friendlyy feeling with a touch of luxury. The room was clean and well kept. A special mention to the team of staff they are all great, friendly and helpful. We ate in the dexters restaurant which was super had the sharing steak. On the first night ate in their sister restaurant Ty Glo which was delicious. We will be back.
Only as an improvement as im not a lover of eggs, add pancakes to the breakfast menu.
Great room and location fantastic Breakfast
Parking is tight at the back if you have a bigger car but certainly adequate spaces at quite times
Very well equipped, stylish decor, superb service, excellent ambiance and authentic historical feel
Food was tremendous both evening meal and breakfast. Loved the area and surroundings, room was amazing, staff were lovely.
Can’t think of anything
Fabulous property oozing with character.
After ordering a drink at the bar and sitting down in the alcove we were told that we have to move into the reception area as they were expecting guests for dinner. I wouldn’t have minded but I had a table booked for 6pm and was having a pre-dinner drink. The barman told my wife that it was ‘fine dining’ and we had to move away from the bar. Curiously this fine dining area is reserved for guests with dogs, very soon x3 spaniels turned up.
Great staffComfortable roomsExcellent food
We were looked after by the manager throughout our stay. Wonderful room on the top floor. Amazing food in the restaurant. Attentive staff.
The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was great and the breakfast was really good
Wr loved this hotel wish we could have stayed longer. Amazing room, great bathroom with bath and gorgeous breakfast!
Our room was great - we had our chocolate labrador with us, and it was ideal that there was a little area that he could sleep in. We also had dinner which was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend Brown's in Laugharne.
The only very small issue we had was that there wasn't any parking when we arrived, but we did find on-street parking further down the road.
Very helpful staff, very good room and excellent food.
We love Browns and stay frequently here, it’s a beautiful hotel with friendly staff , cosy atmosphere and delicious food. We always have a beautiful room but this time we stayed in “ llansteffan” which was a large room but had one tiny window up high. I felt very claustrophobic and the room became very stuffy. I should have said on arrival so I will avoid this room next time .
