    • Charming and comfortable modernised old building with character. Staff were friendly, efficient and exceptionall accomdating. Food was excellent.
    • Easy to park. Easy access. Nice clean room, well supplied. Very comfortable.Very good meal in the evening. Good choices on the menu.Good breakfast and plenty of!We've stayed here before and will continue to do so whenever we're in the area.
    • We've stayed here before so I had no worries about booking it again. On arrival the receptionist dealt with us immediately and explained everything we needed to know. The rooms were clean and warm and the bed was very comfy! The food for our evening meal was good value and very tasty with a good choice on the menu. Breakfast was served promptly and again it was all very tasty and hot. We'll be there again over the next two months.

    Cons -

    • Can't think of anything!
    • A bit noisy at 2am from the nightclub apparently just down the road but it soon went quiet again.Other than that there was nothing to worry about.
    • My room overlooked the recycling depot for Carmathen which started operating at 5am. If I closed the double glazing at the windows, the noise was reduced but with the windows open, sleep was impossible. It might be an idea to tell guests this rather than leave them to find it out themselves then they can choose whether to book or whether to ask for another room.

Breakfast was very good value as part of the bill, served by very helpful and friendly staff. Bed was nice and soft.

The Falcon Hotel was my first choice for a 3-night stay in Carmarthen as it was convenient to the train and bus stations. I booked a large double room and I would not have wanted anything smaller. The bed was comfortable and the shower adequate. The room price included an enjoyable breakfast, which must be pre-ordered the evening before. Otherwise, I did not eat any meals at the hotel.

My room (20) was located on the upper floor overlooking the adjoining muncipal parking lot. This lot also provides rear access to the nearby Merlin’s Walk shopping mall, which receives truck deliveries and dumpster servicing in the very early hours of the morning. The weather was warm and my room hot during my visit. With no air-conditioning, I needed to keep the window open at night for ventilation and the early morning truck noise from the parking lot was not exactly conducive to a good night’s sleep.

Exceptional service. Dinner and breakfast were both of very good quality. Good position in the town.

Our room was quite small but very comfy. The car park is very small but there is parking very close.

Breakfast menu (which I ordered the evening I checked in) was full of choice and plentiful, I opted for porridge to start then smoked haddock with 2 poached eggs, toast, orange juice, pot of tea.

Central. Friendly and helpful staff. Much better than the Ivy Bush.

Nothing. It is just a bit expensive.

I only got there very late due to unforeseen circumstances. But the receptionist rang to make sure I was ok and still coming. Got lost twice trying to find it because scaffolding outside distracted me in the dark. She was very helpful guiding me to the hotel and then came outside to show me were I could park, it's council parking so beware of charges. It was comfortable and basic and that was plenty for one night, very clean. Nice atmosphere.

It was dark and I was tired so maybe I didn't see Camarthen in its best light.

Great Central location, lovely staff and very clean ,beautifully furnished hotel. Evening meal was really nice as was breakfast ?

Only downside was it was really cold once you left the bedroom. Upstairs corridors , and especially the restaurant was uncomfortably cold despite there being a fire on. The restaurant door was left open so the heat just went straight out. I mentioned this at breakfast and the member of staff closed it for us although when we checked out we noticed it had been reopened again. Also closing the restaurant curtains in the evening would help a great deal x

The property was beautifully furnished and very clean

One thing only .The stairs .The bannister going up the stairs it needs replacing .it is very shaky .Also if you have mobility issues and need to hold on its not very reassuring that it will hold you . At the top of the stairs there is a fire door to open . Its very difficult to open that door if you have trouble and need to hold on to something .so a little hand rail on the wall to hold onto while opening the door would be helpful .
