- Food was good, lovely location, helpful staff at breakfast
- We liked its location and its ambience. The car park is ideal for guests. Our room was large and comfortable. Reception staff were polite.
- We always stay at The Queens when we visit Cheltenham. Always a warm welcome, well organised and comfortable rooms.
Cons -
- We used the accessible room, but it could have had better accessibility - for example the bed was very high and there were no bars or equipment to facilitate getting in and out of bed, the bathroom was ok and bars around the shower were good, but could have been better around the loo.
- The carpet in room 316 was very grubby. Both radiators in our room were cold as the valves were stuck. We managed to free one of them. The water in the bathroom basin was lukewarm. We reported both issues to reception but no action was taken. No help was available with luggage. The breakfast bacon was very tough - no doubt pre cooked and kept hot.
- The room was very warm need to sort that out before summer we did say to reception so hope she passes in on as room was very nice . Breakfast was tasty but husband never got his order for about 15 min after mine ...

Location is superb, lovely hotel with easy access and clean and comfortable facilities.
Lovely rooms, complimentary mini fridge, excellent breakfast
They changed the breakfast portions to be much smaller (but you can order multiple so no big deal). Actually only docked points because they used to serve the best yoghurt ever and have changed it to some watery yoghurt that's more drink than breakfast. I pick Queens mostly for the breakfast so bit sad. But such a tiny nitpick!
Lovely room and clean
The hotel has single glazing glass and is across the road from a busy bar. It was possible to hear people drinking and making noise until the early hours of the morning.
Room good also the Breakfast
The Bath in the Bathroom, i am a older lady and to old to be climbing in and out of the baTH
Great looking historical building Tasty breakfastStaff, considerate, polite, helpful.Handy locationWould love to/hope to return
My go-to Cheltenham hotel. It is very convenient for all the town's attractions and the hotel is excellent - very clean and comfortable with an old world charm. The breakfast is very good.
Location, friendliness and efficiency of staff, character of building
Breakfast a little disappointing. Ingredents of full breakfast could have been better.Bacon dry, sausage lacking flavour.
Beautiful building and location
Old and tired, breakfast was unbelievably bad, staff seemed very unhelpful
Central location , excellent staff , fantastic breakfast.
Having to pay for parking , I frequent the queens on a regular basis for , coffee , lunch , dinners and don't pay for parking, however you stay over night and are charged £17!
Beautiful building and nicely decorated .
Our room seemed quite basic , paintwork shabby
Location, room, parking were all great
I was a little disappointed in the quality of the cooked breakfast. It was quite dry & appeared to have been cooked & left for a while before serving.
The location was close to where I needed to be for my course I was attending, the room was clean....
The noise in the room from the music /entertainment, the drunken people out on the street. I was on the 3rd floor and was booked to stay for 3 nights, i only stayed for 2 nights so I could do my course then I returned home so I could have a full night's sleep because I was exhausted. I was very disappointed.
Very good position
The receptionist on arrival wasn't very welcoming, she told us the dinner menu was in the room which we found disappointing only to find out it was the room service menu, she just wasn't helpful at all, no smile on her face either, the receptionist this morning when we checked out was great
The room was very comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed the atrium and wallpaper plus the historical influence in the architecture and decor. The bar was well appointed and comfortable.
The breakfast service on the Sunday morning did not cope albeit that it was a busy time. The buffet was short on items and there was a shortage of crockery and cutlery. On the Monday morning of our stay there were one or more conferences with attendees overflowing into the lounge area and even the foyer of the hotel (particularly during tea and lunch when attendees were eating in these areas too). We could not find a place to sit after breakfast and for half an hour during check-out and before leaving.
Lovely location and ample car parking (chargeable). The decor around the hotel is tasteful and gives the hotel a luxurious feel.
It seemed quite grand and was impressive particularly from the outside. The room where breakfast was served was attractive and the breakfast was good
Small bit of dirt on bedroom carpet. No chair or dressing table in standard room
