Room v nice

Pool too crowed and couldn’t swim lengths

Comfy bed, clean room and very helpful staff. I had an issue with my shower - the maintanence man was very proactice and found a solution for me very quickly.

Carpet years old. Needs changed. Hot water was off for afew hrs. Brown water for awhile after. Pool was cold.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff were all very friendly.

The cosy double is very small but it is nicely decorated and adequate.

Room was decent size and shower was accessible which I had asked for having just torn my Achilles. Breakfast was great as well.

Herbert's restaurant kitchen could be improved. Staff are friendly and professional. However, the food is very low quality. I found a bacon in my cod and chips. In addition, I ordered focaccia. But I received brioche and olive oil instead of focaccia.

Lovely room and kind extra touches like birthday banner, chocolate and towel art for my husbands 50th! Thank you!

Very busy in pool at times and not much opportunity to use hot tub when other guest stay in it for ages!

Lovely old building, very clean, good location and so quiet!

The front foyer of this very old period building has some damp issues (you can smell it) but it was impeccably clean, and the room was recently refurbished and was fresh and modern.

Perfect location when working in Cheltenham. Friendly greeting at reception. Upgraded to a comfortable double room. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices and bar food very good.

The swimming pool quite chilly!!

Very clean, great staff.

No refrigerator in room, although staff happily provided ice bucket etc.Could have done with both coffee machines working to reduce queues at breakfast

We treated ourselves to breakfast in bed, unfortunately it was stone cold. Literally so quite unenjoyable

Lovely family room which was very comfortable, nice bar and restaurant, drinks selection good, leisure club nice

Spa was not for residents, which was disappointing. Cleanliness was very poor in the spa area. it looks like there is no check carried out throughout day. I got very busy in the changing room and had to wait a long time , and we will not be a return visit yo this hotel

Facilities were okay. Spa was okay.Food at the restaurant was commendable.Swimming pool, steam and Sauna were the stand out experience for us.

Not having Lifts was a disadvantage for us.

Would property not stay at...

No working Elevator to take the luggage up and down the levels. For the price we paid, you would expect either an elevator or at least a Bell Person to assist. I asked at Reception could she call the Duty Manager so we could use the one Elevator on the premises as this is was written the Note on the Elevator said to do only to be told that the Elevator doesn't work.

Room very hot at night. Struggled to sleep.

Good room size, comfortable bed spa facilities onsite

Wasn’t as clean as I would have expected. Shower was a bit dirty and the plates and cutlery in the bar were stained with breakfast foods (dried egg etc) staff didn’t seem to notice

The hotel was very nice comfortable the room was excellent very big

It was not very disabled friendly, no lift if you were put on the lower floors you had to climb stairs, were on a floor same level as the breakfast room but if you wanted to go to the bar area you had to climb 20/25 steps very difficult impossible if your disabled

Specifically asked for a quiet room but was placed in a room directly above the bar. Very poor
