- Very comfortable bed and size Loved cooked breakfast such a good idea
- good location
- Well located. The club rooms are large.
Cons -
- I could hear people walking around on the second floor
- I was disappointed with the breakfast, I was pleased to see that the hotel cooked an individual breakfast which is in line with a premium brand like Malmaison. I order smoked salmon on scrambled eggs. the salmon was good but the eggs had been done in a microwave, so much so that there was very little flavour and you could still see the shape of h microwave bowl. There were only 3 people at breakfast. This was an opportunity to finish off a good experience but it was a disappointment , I left it and had some cereal
- It’s tired. The lights in my room were faulty. Doesn’t have the quality feel I’d associate with the Malmaison change. Fine for a night’s stay.

It’s tired. The lights in my room were faulty. Doesn’t have the quality feel I’d associate with the Malmaison change. Fine for a night’s stay.
Staff were incredibly friendly, room was very nice and the bed was cozy. I didn’t stay at the hotel much just as I was there for a wedding but for the time I was there it was very nice.
No complaints, I did find some confusing stickers on the light switches but that is barely a flaw.
Great location, easy walk into the city. Restaurants & shops / The Ivy /Cote etc & bars 5 mins away. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, we had a full English, & there was a choice of fruit toast etc, good coffee machine. Our room was nice & quiet although it had single glazing but it was hot with the heating on so this was no issue & no noise in the night. Car park under the hotel although limited we got a space. £10 for 24hrs
The lighting in the room was a bit dim. Full length mirror needed in a different location within the room. Beds a bit uncomfortably.
Breakfast was superb, rooms were lovely, beds and pillows were comfy, water pressure in the showers was sublime!
A gym or a sauna would have been nice
Beautiful building and very centrally located to Cheltenham and a short hop to the train station. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff and given early check in (always a plus!). The room was modern, comfortable and we had cocktails at the bar which were brilliantly made.Very friendly and comfortable stay & we would return!
The shelf behind our bed was a little dusty and the room was on the small side (booked a cosy room) but it was perfect for a night away spent mostly out and about in beautiful Cheltenham!
We had a really lovely meal in the hotel restaurant, our waiter went above and beyond with his level of service. The breakfast was great and again really lovely friendly attentive staff.Great location to walk around locally, or to drive off and explore.
Location is good.
Room feels tired. Sofa in particular was very uncomfortable in the room. Lots of condensation on the windows.
Food was ok
The bath room was made for children I had to stand side ways to shower and had to open the door to wash my feet
Other than the bad room...
The room was a very poor configuration with a big wall in the middle of the room which meant the bed could only be accessed from one side & also the wall blocked the light from the window. For £250 per night this is not acceptable.
Convenient for the centre.
Sadly it was very cold didn’t seem to be any heating in the restaurant Saturday night or Sunday morning. The bar was closed Saturday night because there was a wedding. Only 4 of us in the restaurant Saturday night the food was very good but it lacked any atmosphere.
Staff wonderful
Cosy room and bathroom tiny
Reception staff in the evning on arrival very pleasant.
The room cost £260 and was very, very tight. It was a struggle to get into the shower. Not what would be expected at that cost.In the morning the breakfast restaurant was like a Fawlty Towers episode. The waitress came and moved the table that I was sitting at. When I moved back to the table (where she had put it) she bashed into me and complained that she could not get past me. My wife and I moved to another table but she moved us from that because we were too small a party. She insisted we sit at a very dark table. The nice light one by the window remained empty throughout.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
We booked the junior suite for our anniversary which looked nice in the pictures, but when we arrived we noticed that everything looked a bit tired and in need of attention. The main light in the room when switched off seem to come back on again so had to figure what was going on the it till eventually out of kick it stayed off.We we came to use the stand alone bath but the water was not hot enough to fill the bath and ended up using the kettle to fill up the bath. We rang reception to see if there is anything they can do. We were offered another room with a bath but that was a standard room with a standard bath on the same floor and not the experience we had paid for. The shower leaked and water went cold on the last day of our stay.Out of all the Malmaison hotels we have stayed in this one is probably due a refurb and general TLC. On the positive the staff are friendly and helpful.
Location is perfect and was a nice hotel
We paid for the most expensive room and it was run down. Basin cracked, walls stained and not freshly painted. Silicone and grout around shower grubby. Not on par to other malmaison hotels we have stayed at.
The hotel was warm, quiet and clean on a cold night in the New Year. Easy access to central Cheltenham
There was no coffee or tea in our room but this was quickly rectified
Lovely cosy central location on a freezing cold day , we had a club deluxe room which was spacious and luxurious . Staff were friendly , bar area and breakfast great too ! Lots of great bars and restaurants 2 minutes away but hotel was so peaceful and relaxing .
Lights in bedroom a bit dim and struggled to find power socket . Only minor issues though .
Room was big and clean. Staff was nice.
Room layout, having a shower and a bath open is creepy.Parking was not comfortable to handle.Breakfast was very bad value for money.
Great location with friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast offer was good, but mood lighting made it too dark for a breakfast service
Faded grandeur in rooms - lots of broken fittings in bathroom and ‘cosy’ double was very tiny, luckily only one person in it. Price reflected the room size
