Breakfast good. Room good. Bed good.

I had the nearest bedroom to the road so there was some traffic noise.

Good location , ground floor bedrooms with a large comfortable king size bed ,good size bathroom with shower .

Quiet clean convient location

Lack of beer at bar only bottled cider

Ive always liked staying at your hotel but there are a few things I noticed. See below.

The curtains were not all attached to the rings. The shower didnt work so I got no water there at all. The alarm clock battery was dead and the clock facing the wall waiting for a new battery. As there appeared to be no other guests I think housekeeping could have had the time to check these small details. The seal on the shower door needs replacing and was hanging off. Not good attention to detail. Personally I would sack whoever is in charge of housekeeping. They clearly have a sight problem. These are the little dettails that count towards runn8ng a good hotel. In the past I could find nothing wrong. Since new management, standards have slipped. Norbert was a super manager.

Nice hotel, nice room, lovely staff, good breakfast included. We asked for a downstairs room because our dog is elderly, and they sorted that without a problem. The evening staff even warmed our dinner in the kitchen for us, which was very kind. Plenty of places to walk the dog around in the morning as well.

I wish we were offered the option of a room with twin beds or at least a slightly bigger double bed.

Fantastic value. Ive stayed in Cheltenham a number of times, but considering value for money this place impressed. Clean, tidy room, friendly staff and great breakfast. Everything spot on. Expecting to pay extra for the cooked breakfast, but all included. Highly recommended.

Older hotel that I needed for one night and breakfast - it did the job admirably and the lady who attended to me was excellent

More whiskies and wine needed at the bar

The room size was good. It became very quiet at night. Easy access to my room on the ground floor.

The room was a little noisy most of the time with the sound of running water. There did not seem to be much in the way of extra facilities. Everything in the hotel shuts down at 9 p.m. Beware of the birds in the trees overhanging the car park.

Staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly.

The mattresses were cheap and nasty. In room 12, this was particularly bad.....too soft and springy. You could feel the springs.....very uncomfortable. This caused back problems for myself and partner. Lso there was mould in the bathroom - the extractor fan wasn't working. When moved to room 15 (Attic Room), the shower fixing was loose and presented problems when showering. Paint was also flaking off the ceiling by the shower. Being 6 feet tall, this created additional mobility problems because of the awkward design of the shower/bath and the sloping room ceilings. During breakfast on the first day, they can out of serviettes. On the 2nd day, they ran out of brown sauce.

It was clean throughout, the chap on reception was helpful in guiding me to a local pub for an evening meal as this hotel does not provide a restaurant.......I chose The Royal which was very good for anyone looking for food and was a about 5 minutes away in the car or a 15 minute walkThe breakfast of my choice was cooked to order and was excellent!

I reported the toilet seat in room 3 was virtually hanging off and a plinth across the bottom of the bath panel was also hanging off....I am sure the management will get these 2 jobs sorted and it does not stop me giving the place a 10/10

Very good

In room 15, very noisy water pipes, every time showers were used , went on til very late starts again very early.......apart from that very comfy bed spacious room , got everything you need. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast tasty. Would stay again......but quieter room. For the price and closeness to Cheltenham excellent.

Good stay for the money. Good breakfast was not asked how we would like our eggs, also maybe add some black pudding and a fried slice. All in all a great place to stay would come back again.

Bed springs had seen better days room 12 could be worth checking that out did not help with my bad back.

Very little

It was very tatty and unkept in several areas, when we arrived there was no-one there so we had to hunt someone down who complained he was asleep. The heating in most of the areas was not working and apart from one young lady the staff were unhelpful- definitely one to avoid

Beds were quite comfy

There are numerous issues: rooms very dirty and dusty. Shower heads in both bathrooms in both rooms had mould coming out of them. Toilet was broken in one of the rooms so running water sound all night. Bathroom furniture hanging off wall and loose in both rooms. No remote control for tv in one room. No one available after 9pm to complain too. When checking out, no apology or offer of refund. Wife and son were constantly sneezing from something in the rooms

Obvious evidence of change of ownership/management and inadequate preparation. First room unsatisfactory, second much better.

The Receptionist was very helpful, but the reception area is terrible and very cold, She was sitting there with an electric radiator right next to her, I felt sorry for her.

On Booking.com it says Restaurant open for Dinner between 6-30 -8-30. Also that it has a Bar. When I arrived I was told the Restaurant was closed and also the Bar as it wasn't stocked up and only had Cider! As I travel alot on my own for business this is important to me as I dont like going out in places that I am not familiar with.Also the doors of the hotel are locked at 9pm, when i got back to my room, all I could hear all night was a water tank filling up constantly, also at 1 am there was a party going on in one of the rooms which went on till late , then the fire alarm went off, I didn't know weather to get dressed or stay in my room, nobody was there to inform me.

Not overly priced so all in all good value for money

The staff were lovely , i have stayed here before. The room was very nice comfortable and clean . Good choice of coffee etc .WI-fi very good . The staff from each department that i met were very nice and friendly .

No introduction book to the hotel or the area in the room this would be a nice with breakfast info etc. The dinning room was very cold both in heat and appearance it looks like its lost it love!
