Very clean, convient, good price , nice rooms

Room was very hot, even in February. Had to sleep with window wide open. At check in, insisting on photocopying id with pic on. No need at all and concerned about security of my ID. There is a hideous pic of a zebra in the room. Would give people nightmares!

Staff were friendly & helpful. Decor modern & stylish throughout, creating a relaxing vibe. Location excellent!

Individual room facilities could be improved. TV & lack of toiletries are at odds with the comfort & furniture provided.

Location and the hotel standard

Having to check in with passport or driving license. If you had neither you’re not allowed to stay prepaid or not. Never experienced this in the UK, unacceptable.Rooms were poorly insulated so at 1am you could hear talking in one side, Tv on the other and banging around above. Not good at all. No hot breakfast option which for a higher class hotel is poor.

Breakfast was excellent. Nice warm room.

Tiny bathroom and cold.

Everything was well thought through and well explained. The shower room and bedroom were very clean and beautifully presented. The hotelier was very helpful and polite.

Missing hot chocolate from the room. Double bed was twins pushed together so uncomfortable ridge down the centre. No socket by the desk for a laptop.

Nice and quiet, close to train and town centre

Serious value for money. Both the young Lady on evening reception and the Gentleman on Morning breakfast duties were truly customer focused and absolute assets to the Hotel.Evening meal was good value and quality.I would have no hesitation in staying here again

I paid £53 for one night, which is perfect prive .If you keep the price at £53 when I do come I will definitely book again.The receptionist upgrade me to a double bed , which was very kind of her.Nice place to stay, I really enjoyed the stayThank you Kind regards Your customer

Pillows had seen better days. No hot breakfast served which I like on holiday.

Great, cosy, Christmas theme throughtout, loved it has kept old charm with modern features. Staff were professional and welcoming. Although I didnt have a meal the menu selection was good. I opted for a desert instead which included a 20% discount.

The double bed were 2 singles joined together, so one side was a little uncomfortable.

The receptionist was very friendly, warm, informative and smiled throughout. What we received was excellent customer service and she even showed us to our room. The hotel was clean, decorated to a high standard with electronic entry and exit into the building. It also boasts a bar. The room was cosy and contained all the necessary furniture. They provide bottled water for the kettle which was a plus. Not just tea and coffee but biscuits also. There was a fridge and central heating in the room. As well as an extra oil heating for those who enjoy heat like me lol. There was also a hairdyer and tv in the room. The hotel also has a garden. The standard was high for such a small establishment and I can see why they have won so many awards.

The room was on the outer area of the hotel, and we did get slightly wet. It abouts 10-15 steps from main building to room but you have to open the room door. Perhaps offer an umbrella for the short journey into the main building or an awning cover. This area is well lit and clean. However, the outer rooms are perfect for people with mobility difficulties or need wheelchair access.

Perfectly located for our night out, beautiful hotel, clean, comfortable room, ample tea & coffee etc, we also had a gorgeous view which was an added bonus & the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.. The young lady on reception was polite, smiley & very pleasant & very informative.. The goodie bag we each received was very much appreciated also.. An extremely comfortable stay & we would book again without hesitation.. A cooked breakfast would have been fabulous but it was not available which was a shame..

No complaints whatsoever apart from the breakfast being unavailable.. It would have been nice to sit down & eat breakfast rather than go elsewhere..

Older feel to rooms and could hear others moving around. Not soundproofed well

Got to admit it but this is one of my favourite places to stay, second time around it is inviting from the outside of the property and doesn't disappoint on arrival, staff take great care of making it seasonal (this occasion Halloween). The lady on reception was fantastic and very welcoming. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. The property is very close to the everything that visitors would want. The scenery such as the river and embankment is a must place to look around, see the swans and relax whilst taking in such beauty. The shopping area is also worth a look around too. Also there is a well stocked convenience store approx 10 mins away.

Just a minor issue the property was eco friendly but when I was in the shower the bathroom light kept switching off because I suffer from mobility issues this was slightly disappointing. But to be fair on the whole everything about this accommodation is highly recommended.

Restaurant / Food of good quality

Small room, uncomfortable single bed, ensuite small, shower warm ish, noise between rooms, could hear everything the joining room was doing from Tv to their phone call speech.

Great location near the train station, walking distance.Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff.Got a free upgrade which was a lovely surprise

Mattress was way too soft for me. Breakfast was just ok, kind of a strange medley but at £5.50 really can't grumble. And the coffee was very nice
