- Nice old building located centrally in Rugby.
- The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Rugby, within easy walking distance of the town centre, local restaurants, and nightlife if you choose to explore. Despite its central location, it’s set back enough to avoid any noise disturbance. If you prefer to stay in, I highly recommend the in-house restaurant—it’s always busy and has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are exceptional and always on hand to help with any issues. I’ve stayed here twice, and during my second visit I experienced a problem with the TV. I reported it at reception and it was resolved immediately. The hotel manager personally assisted me and even upgraded my room within minutes.I strongly recommend this hotel. It’s affordable, the food is excellent, the location is ideal, and the staff are attentive and professional. As the property is older, it has plenty of character, which is something I personally prefer over a typical chain hotel. The Grosvenor is an excellent choice for both business trips and overnight stays—it truly suits all needs.

Very unhappy.
Unwelcome poor instruction on how to get to room. Room was freezing. Electric unsafe plug hanging off wall bedding dirty holes in towels only one hand towel and one bath towel in a room with three people booked! Massive television on wall which had no signal or aerial. Although restaurant was in same building it said it wasn’t attached but they allowed us in then said we had 10 minutes to order as kitchen was closing. Advert on door of offer but not on menu on asking told not available ordered while eating told us they were closing in 15 mins very unwelcome just wanted our money . Luckily only booked one night as definitely would not recommend
The bath, lovely hot water and clean
The smell of weed all over the hotel
Good location. 5 minutes from the town center and close to the train station. Whilst the hotel hallways were very grubby, the room was clean. Equipped well and the shower had good pressure and was nice and warm.
I have stayed at the hotel before a couple of times. But this time it smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke. I have noticed that before, but in particular this time, it was strong and lingered for hours. Possibly someone in the room next door was smoking out of the window. But it smelt more like they were smoking inside the hotel.
The hotel was located in easy access of town ad the train station.
The hotel room was very tired, the walls had cracked plaster and peeling paintwork, there was a damp smell and the "deluxe" room was on the side with the road, the windows were single glazed sash windows and it was very loud in the room, sounded like the road was right inside room. We could also clearly hear people moving around the halls and other rooms all night, with road noise we didn't sleep well. The bedding and towels did not look clean (even though I'm sure they were). The pillows were also very thin and felt just like a bit of foam shoved in a pillowcase.
the room was massive but the bed is not comfortable as we could feel the pain due to spring, so i had to have back pain the very next day so it would be advantage for them to change the mattress pls.
mattress
room and bed is very cosy and comfy with all facilities in the room including kettle/tea/coffee, iron, tv and toiletries facilities.
comfy and cosy with essential facilities
I liked every thing about my stay with the grosvenor hotel they staff were amazing i enjoyed it that much i have booked another week there i don't want to go home it was that good here
There is nothing I didn't like every thing about my stay was absolutely amazing thank you to all the staff for everything
Convenient location. Room was clean and bed comfortable
The TV did not work,I reported it but nothing was done about it.The hotel smells of weed which they try to disguise with air freshener but it is very noticeable
Passable
Bed uncomfortable. Shower useless.no curtains tv remote us
I've recently spent two nights at the Grosvenor Hotel Rugby. The hotel was comforting, especially for its price. The hostesses were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, neat and clean. The bathroom was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again there soon.
Good location
Room was tired decor needed refreshing
Bedding was spotless. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The bed- the mattress was very poor and painful. Fortunately an extra duvet helped a bit but my back is really sore. Also although the bathroom window was frosted there was no blind or curtains meaning the shower and sink were right in front of the window leaving me feeling a bit exposed. Also the florescent light was a bit harsh. The room was dated and the floor not level but was clean.
Good Restaurant side by side
The door in my room was open all the time. A problem keys to close unhappy, but all right safe location.
The young lad on reception was very helpful and polite
The room was filthy, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and not attached to the head board, so there was a huge gap, had to get up every 5 mins to push the bed back. The room had an awful smell, which was attempted to be covered by plug in air fresheners, the bathroom smelt like sewage. The whole hotel stank of cigarette smoke, despite no smoking signs everywhere. The radiator was also turned on full, the room was boiling hot and there was no option to turn it down or off. Ended up leaving around midnight because we physically could sleep and felt physically sick.
The location to the town centre was good and easy access to train station
No ground floor rooms or lift especially if you have a disability. Breakfast as an option would also have been good.
Very basic room which was adequate for 1-night Suitable for work purposes Good parking and bar.... Great value for money at a very cheap price per night Darren
