Cubley Hall

This is a beautiful, clean, comfortable Inn. We arrived in time for a late dinner and they accommodated us immediately. Food was excellent as was breakfast the next morning. Beautiful setting! Very nice, helpful people and wonderful stay! Thank you for your hospitality!

Clubley Hall is set in beautiful grounds and looks over the valley. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Would benefit from a refurb in the main part of the pub but the bedroom was very nice and comfortable.

No WiFi reception in the room

It is very convenient for visiting my family. I like its style. It is comfortable. The staff are always friendly.

This time I was in room 12, which had extra stairs to access - not good for my sore knee.

Very good value. Our stay was mainly to break a long journey with an early start next day. Cubley Hall was perfect for our needs.

The food was OK for the price, not brilliant, but we had no complaints. The Black Sheep Bitter was well kept.

Great location for our needs, and walkable into Penistone. Don't be fooled by the name however, this is a large, modern pub with rooms in a lovely old building. Lovely outside spaces, plenty of parking and the rooms are nice if not especially large, the walls are thin and we could hear the room next door. Food is good and the staff were very helpful. We would stay there again.

Good location. Bedroom a reasonable size and comfortable bed. Evening meal that we purchased and breakfast were all excellent.

The staff were bright and cheerful and helpful. The room was very nice and the bed comfy. You could hear music but it finished early. Will be going back.

I thought they could have put some bottled water on the refreshment tray, for those who do not like the hot drinks. Also, the plastic cups were not very nice, glass ones would be better.

Accomodation was comfortable & clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Sadly we were kept awake by

V clean, tasteful decor.

Don't normally stay at a pub so surprised how clean and cosy it was. Only faint noise of people downstairs.

Worth a visit pleasant staff rooms and food.

The location was great with wonderful views of the pennines from our room. The food was excellent, we had dinner in the evening which was wonderful, the service was great. The staff were so friendly, accommodating and helpful. They sorted us out with a takeaway breakfast sandwich at 7am as we had to leave super early to complete a long bike ride. They stored our bikes safely for us and gave us everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable.

The view we had from our room was amazing to say it was one of the cheaper rooms. The views from the outdoor terrace were gorgeous, enjoyed a lovely sunset here on one of our nights. All of the staff were very quick and attentive, all very friendly and kept the place up to a high standard. The breakfast included in the price was very good, staff were accommodating to dietary requirements and all of the food we had was all tasty and quickly made. Would 100% come back and will be recommending to friends, family and colleagues! I was also surprised at the size of the playground for the children who visit/stay as well, I’d happily bring my children here next time!

The only downside was it was an old building so could hear other guests walking around at night/early morning but didn’t affect how beautiful the place is!

The breakfast was amazing value for money, overlooking the fields and countryside. Great amount of parking and beautiful building. Josh was great and welcoming.

Service at breakfast on the first morning was a let down, language between staff and non professional behaviour not great .

This is my third stay at this hotel and it always lives up to my expectations. The bar and dining facilities were out of use in the main building due to flooring renovations. They have a facility onsite called `The Barn` which was used for dining and drinks during my say. This facility was superb. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced and the food was wonderful as always. The bedroom was warm, nicely decorated and comfortable. The shower was powerful. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I will be returning in April and I can't wait!

Really scenic location, the property had some quirks and lovely features. The beds were super comfy and the food was lovely.

The floors were a bit creaky but to be expected with an old property.

Food was excellent and served so promptly. Staff extremely courteous but very friendly.

There was nothing that we did not like for this brief stay.
