As we have been going prince wales 15 yrs we have always found staff polite helpful always clean rooms
All was good
Coffee sausage
Tv kept freezing. But as out most of the time but thinking it worked then froze even after a new set of batteries
Everything about the place its self and location
Having traveled a while our clothes were not wearable without being ironed.we asked the staff if they could provide..they said there was an ironing room on floor 2.but no irons there..we then asked at reception if they could provide 1.i was told to return to room and maintanace would bring 1 to our room....unfortunately rhis never happened and we were just overlooked no body came to the room.this ruined our evening and prompted us to leave early as no effort was made..left us feeling let down
Great location - you could walk everywhere! - the Hotel Team were very polite and attentive - the room itself was clean and well presented - the bathroom was also nice and clean and the shower proved hot/powerful - the breakfast was plentiful and nicely cooked
No issues or concerns
my room was excellent, well decorated, lots of room and close to reception, dining room, bar and lounge. my dinner was really good and lots of choice. the hotel has been refurbished and it's a really lovely hotel all through
it's time to get new mattresses !
Didnt have any meals
To hot in room could not open windows given a fan not to good though
Back in its day, I am sure this would have been a first class hotel. Now it is somewhat faded grandeur. The room we had was large and airy and a welcome change to a Premier Inn. There was a newish bathroom and the bedroom itself was very serviceable and for the money very good value. Very pleasant staff , good traditional food, excellent location , realistic parking charges,,,overall good value
Location was perfect , and the fact that I could hire a mobility scooter was a bonus , meals were excellent well cooked and tasted fantastic .
The fact that everything was card only was a bit disappointing , and you needed more options at the bar for diabetics , more sugar free mixers would have helped . Also the service was a bit bad at busy times .. Also needed more seating at the bare , nowhere enough seating for guests .
Location was fab. On site parking £6. Large spacious reception, lounge, stairway and landings, full of Victorian history
Room did not reflect the rest of the hotel. Clean, smell bleach, but shabby. Threadbare, frayed carpet between room and bathroom. Bath panel not aligned to wall. Hole in wall panels over the bath. Blind in bathroom didn't shut. No soap in bathroom. Tiny cups for making a brew. Carpet felt grubby and floor in bathroom felt sticky underfoot. Buffet style Breakfast was edible, but some things had ran out, and not replaced for a long time
Room was ideal for a short break, breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, location great with a short walk to shops, bars and the sea.
Could not pay with cash at the hotel bar.
I have stayed at this hotel many times prior to it's refurbishment and liked it but it felt dated, if not a little jaded even. However I am very impressed by the modernisation indeed. Our room was bright, fresh and immaculate.could not fault the bedroom or the bathroom. All positive and comfortable bed thrown in?.Staff were welcoming and helpful. More than competitively priced for the standards given.Definitely will return. ?
Only snag that I encountered was that I paid for 3 days parking at the hotel but had to park, and pay again, on street meters on Saturday afternoon due to an organized event being held at the hotel. Those attending, competitors as well as spectators, filled the car park completely. This was probably unavoidable but still annoying as my partner has mobility problems which is why I paid for hotel parking!
The hotel is so convenient to shops, bars etc.It has a large car park £6 for 24 hours and a huge front lawn with picnic tables. The staff are lovely and friendly
The property is a bit tired but they are working on redecorating. Our room was clean , newly decorated, with new bathroom fittings,so couldn't complain on that
We went to restricted forest, contacted the hotel to see if we could check in early,, it was no problem for them also booked taxi for us, and let us sit in the bar even though it was closed so we could wind down, thank you to everyone that works threw loads of love chris, Charley, donna and naj xxxx
Absolutely nothing
The hotel was ideally situated centrally
The fact that rooms didn’t get serviced unless you asked but there was no message in the rooms or at check in that indicated this
Great location and the staff were friendly and upgraded us when we asked at reception with no problem the room was also very nice and spacious and clean.
The only fault was how uncomfortable the bed was.
