Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good location and excellent value for money
We booked a standard double room and it was big lovely and bed was double unfortunately the tv was not working while we where there and offered us a another room. The door key did not work at first either
The other room was a lot smaller the bed was a lot smaller and not really got what we paid for as tv was not working in the other room we appreciate the change of room but was a lot smaller and was disappointed
Location
The rooms were dirty, carpet badly stained, bed spread filthy. Smelt of cigarettes. Had to move rooms twice but still not great. Won’t be staying again
Good bar to relax in and a great breakfast in the morning
No heating in the room.Hot water was adequately warm.
The staff were lovely and helpful . Nice big room .
Expensive and breakfast was not included .
Location
No heating in the room Had to request extra portable heater The shower was not working properly and the water pressure was low.
The staff were very receptive
The bed was not comfortable. Only 1 staff on site so it was difficult attending to everyone during check in and during breakfast
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was near to local facilities and the train stationWe did not book a breakfast, but the location made it easy to find alternatives
Although parking was opposite the hotel on the Job Centre site, it was not guaranteed and if you moved your car it was not guaranteed you would be able to park when you returned
good breakfast, hot water, smart tv, location ok, parking good. over all it’s a fairly decent hotel.. however….. see the bad points!
Absolutely the worst place for comfort and a good nights sleep, the spring mattresses are like sleeping on a cobbled street. over my two stays (1st for 1 week, 2nd for one night) i had three rooms , all of which have the same mattresses. If you want a bad back , bruised ribs and 2 hours of sleep per night then this is the place for you! if you want comfort. sleep elsewhere!
Bad
No heating in Room And bed clothes dusty Shower not working properly. No Happy at allI am a regular Returning costumer But this is Third time unhappy with service and Staying at best Western in Hartlepool Your Sincerely Brendan Carney
I love everything about this place, we first stayed when my daughter came to look around the Northern School of Art and it has been our go to place ever since.
Breakfast was lukewarm. Some items were replenished but I'd almost finished eating by then so the food wasn't as enjoyable as it has been in the past. It was also the busiest I've seen it so I'll put it down to that rather than a drop in standards.
The hotel is in a good central location
The bed in room 201 was tiny for a double, you spent the night feeling like you were about to fall out. The room could was big enough for a proper size double. The breakfast was a joke, no milk for the cereal as they had ran out, the cooked food was dry, over cooked, luke warm at best. The only thing hot was the toast. No staff around to ask for fresh food, milk etc
Location in a historical setting
Cheap finishings in the room; poor handyman-ship on bathroom tiles, bathroom fixtures, reduced the attractiveness of the bathroom. The breakfast could also be improved.
