The Douglas Hotel

Location was o.k.

Remote was missing, kettle didn't work, no one at the desk with not forwarning, call a number and get a code to get in, would have been nice to know ahead of time, as we almost went out of our way to stop in and leave our things at the desk early.

Hotel location was good

Didn¿t like the fact that the room was needing cleaned it was really grubbyalso there was doors being banged through the night

Nothing did not go as far as the oom

I had a look inside the door and left

The staff member was lovely

Didn't get the original room there was no heating no hot water no cups in the room for the coffee station the carpet was stained so was the blinds

It's a horrible filthy I didn't stay I had to go elsewhere

There was a leak n heating dirty bedding a needle behind the bed there was nothing at all I can say I liked it's a dhss hostel

Awful hotel

The windiw didnt shut. No heating or hot water no running water when i text to complain he ignored ne i left aftef 2 hours

It was cheap and easy to find

I woke up covered in bites. Looks like bed bug bites, however we did not check the mattress to confirm. Considering the condition of the hotel I wouldn’t be surprised.

im not at all happy bearing in mind i had my 2 year old son staying with me, firstly they didn’t know what room i was in and had to make sure it was clean which should have been done before my arrival my room well we’re do I start no heating had to use electric heater the bedsheets were clean but dirty stained tab ash on floor and bathroom the tv remote not the right remote because i thought it was the batteries the shower takes ages to heat up minimal pressure

- thick brown residue inside the kettle- brown residue on the toilet seat- pink mould on the bathroom taps- brown stains on the shower wall - limescale stains and dirt on the bathroom floor and toilet - BEDBUGSThe manager’s best excuse was “we’ve only had the property a month”. Poor at best. Plenty of time to clean room. The room quite simply had not been cleaned at all, and they found it acceptable to host me there. What a disgrace. Full refund was issued. I have commenced court action because they refused to compensate my destroyed property (three away my clothes because of the bedbug infestation).

Was told there was breakfast available there isn’t any breakfast at all was told there was a bar that’s not the case either they used to be one but it’s not there now was told there was a restraint but that was also not open there was no staff the place was moreLike a hostel than a hotel

Cheap but for extra you can afford much better

No staff to assist,checked in on the phone,room was dirty,electric kettle and cup very dirty They said there was an iron but there was nothing Carpets very dirty At the entrance,some people were sitting smoking

Location was good room was clean bed linen was fresh. It was quiet close to big shopping centre.

No shaving mirror. TV remote was missing . Not enough t bags taps loose no proper reception. Saying that because of location and the time I spent in the room I would return again.

Terrible time

Well light hanning off the ceiling Bedroom window would not close TV didn't workWalls was dirty Shower was cold Doesnt look like what it in pics It's an absolute dive

You aren't paying much, and you aren't going to get much. Broken space heater, stained carpet, terribly finiky shower--either scalding hot or cold. No soap.Otherwise, it was fine. The fire alarm went off at 4 am. It was the loudest thing I've ever heard. I called the number and a dude came running down the road wearing his slippers in 5 minutes, so that wasn't a terrible tragedy.

Got stuck on the motorway. Tried fining the hotel for over 3 hours. Got the run around and tried lots of different numbers. Eventually got there 45 mins after 10. There should have been someone on the counter till 12 according to the info I received. No one was there. There was a telephone number on the door which rang though to a dead line. No one answered the ring doorbell.

We spent the night sleeping in the car.
