Spacious family room, well situated, dog friendly

No central heating on top floor, electric radiator only. Decor peeling off the walls. Exceptionally poor water pressure in the shower.

1st room dirty was moved 2nd room lovely was outside main hotel in a annex of e rooms. All ok until 2am and.was awoken by anither guest screaming was going to kill people and himself called reception numerous time bothin until the police arrived! Then moved around 3.30am to another room! My 2 daughters were absolutely petrified.

A large comfortable room and a location close to the sea and town centre made this very good value. Service at breakfast and the quality of the food left a little to be desired, but the posters and artefacts added to the enjoyment of staying there.

Lovely staff clearly trying to run a good hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Nice comfy hotel. Showers are what they are could be better. Beds comfy always a pleasant stay, we’ve stayed many times long time return customer!

Room was missing a mirror. New £50 security deposit which goes into pending transaction upon arrival I understand you are trying to improve the hotel but warning to your guests prior to arrival would have been better

Welcome from staff was genuine. Parking facilities are great. Cleanliness of bedroom and bathroom was to a high standard. Deposit returned on the day off check out, no issues.

The heating was on very high and we were very warm overnight even with the windows open in February. Not a complaint in anyway, just an observation for other guests and information for the hotel.

The celebrity theme was interesting, someone has put slot of thought into it.

We booked through booking.com last minute and paid through booking.com, we were told on arrival that we hadn’t paid although we had and showed the reception staff the multiple references within the app that confirmed we had paid. We were at reception at 12:30 am until 1:30am arguing with the staff member who ultimately told us that unless we paid (again) he wouldn’t let us in. So we were effectively on the street unless we paid twice, which we ended up doing. They did issue a refund the next morning and apologised but really not enough. The bathroom was disgusting, like it hasn’t been changed since the 70’s, turquoise toilet and hideous tiles, cold water tap didn’t seem to work either, which didn’t matter as the hot water tap was barely hot enough to shower in.

Weird experience at check in, was told they only take payment at arrival even though everything was already paid for through booking.com, long wait for their confirmation on the payment. Also had to pay 10£ for parking which was never mentioned before, i never had to pay for parking at any other hotel. No hairdryer in the room. We could tell that the carpets in hallways and in the room have not been cleaned for a while. Thin walls, we could hear people coming in late at night.

All good, comfortable and tidy room, friendly staff.

Thin walls so was kept up by every movement made . Carpet in room was thread bare . TV in room had terrible signal

The room was too small. The corridors smelled of mold and it was very noisy.

The staff are so incredibly lovely, so welcoming and accommodating. Comfortable and clean room.You really can’t moan about anything for the price.

Location was good, room was well appointed even if not everything worked! God size and comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly especially the receptionist. i paid extra for the 'deluxe' room but...read below.

1. Signage on the entrance not illumiated, hard to see in the dark. 2. TV in the room had lost all the channels, so had to re-scan. Had to do this everytime we turned it off and on again. When complete it did not include all the main channels-BBC1, 2 ITV etc3. The shower fitting was for short people as the upper bracket had been incorreclty placed, so that you could not sllde the head up to the top.4.The remote was held together with celotape!!5. One of the blinds in the window was missing its 'twizzle' stick so you could not make then open or closed when in the down position.6. Breakfast was supposed to be from 8am, yet at 8.25 not everything had been set up. Old bread in the basket, toaster not set up properly, milk was off, coffee machine not working, and at 25 past they were still bringing out the saussages, which were just awful and fruit-which consisted of only melon. The heated cabinet had not been on long enough as the food was luke warm. Also all the plates were stone cold.7. The toilet roll (industrial/commercial type) had not been put into the disppenser!8. Not a problem for us but for the hotel-as there was Japanese Knotweed growing profusivley in the drivway..

Brilliant location, around 10 minutes from the station walking; and close to the centre. Quirky theme with some cool memorabilia, receptionist was great (didn’t catch his name sorry!) and we were well catered for.

Shower was not great but all in all not an issue.

Lovely room clean basic but comfortable. Friendly staff happy to assist when neighbours were noisy at night in telling them to be quiet.
