- A classic Bournemouth style hotel, including winding halls and staircases everywhere. The room was large and the bed comfy.
Cons -
- Creamy floorboards, not enough electric socks (none near beds), decor & curtains poor quality & didn?t cover windows
- Cleaning very bad their nothing did hoover some stuff are not picked up and clean mat is very bad too old and tv services is not work i have a baby so baby pickup some stuff which are put on dirty mat and their too much hot lighting system very low so you have changing that
- Incredibly hot, some of which was bad luck on the weather. It was the hottest week in 2025 At the time. The room thankfully had a small fan added but it would only work on power level 2;any higher and it stopped. There was a window but it overlooked very noisy industrial units. When closed, the window blocked the sound but when open it was a cacophony. This made the room even hottest. The fans did stop from 11pm and would start again around 6.30am, so I could open the window in the evenings.

The car park was easily accessible.
There was a really uneasy atmosphere to the place. The car park looked like the sort of place a serial killer might hide a body. The shower was dirty. The bed wouldn't have been out of place in a jail cell. We got in the room and very quickly decided to book a different hotel for the night. We ended up 400 feet up the road at the very lovely Collingwood Hotel.
The place has the character of an old building. It's close to the beach, tge center, and supermarkets. Mary Shelley's grave site (along with her parents) is nearby.
No hot water from the sink faucet, which you have to turn and turn to get water or turn it off.
I booked a room here at The Trouville Hotel, Bournemouth, with full daily breakfasts for 4 nights, for a couple of very good, dear friends, it was meant as a gift, a present, a gesture of goodwill to them because they are such good & kind people to everyone, including ourselves so it was my way of saying thank you to them. I stayed with a family member here for one night last year & was satisfied with it for the location & price so thought & hoped it would be alright & satisfactory for them. Afterwards I asked them for feedback on how they enjoyed their stay & unfortunately I was sad to hear bad news, so disappointing it wasn't what we'd hoped it to be ! The toilet was blocked upon arrival ! Which is a bit of a disgusting thing to be greeted by ! The housekeeping should have noticed this before allowing guests into this room. So they had to ask to be moved to another room which they were moved. Then on one of their first nights there, there was a Wedding party going on so no-one apparently could sleep all night or at least until it was all over after 1am they told me, they had an awful night with very little sleep because of all the noise !! They had friends staying on the same floor as them which was a remarkable coincidence so they were so happy to see each other after a long time & be reunited, we were all attending an event at the BIC almost across the road. With early starts & long days so a good night's sleep is necessary & important. But their friends complained they could barely get any sleep either because of the partying, according to them, there were many reports from guests there that night / morning, that sleep was very difficult to get because of this Wedding party.Otherwise they were very happy with the breakfasts & they never went hungry they said & everything else was okay. She wanted me to give this feedback to this Hotel for future improvement. Thank you.

Staff were friendly
Electric sockets hanging away from the wall in room 001, very strong smell of urine in the bathroom. Windows were that dirty you could barely see out of them. All in all not a great experience
nice staff beds are comfy and sheets are ok the staff especially daniel did a good job
very little honestly - building is old and needs a good refresh - cleaning is the best they can do considering the age of building - curtains are unspeakable
The first time I stayed here , the staff were very professional and friendly, it was clean and tidy, nice relaxing stayThe breakfast was enjoyable, self service ,good options to choose from, fruit juice, fruit, tea coffee, cereal, toast, yoghurt self service full English much as you like To be honest I paid just under £150 and to be fair thought it was reasonably good value .
The potential for the bar is exceptional, it's a nice size bar ,but draft beer is limited to either an ale (Sharps Atlantic )or lager ( Carlsberg)think there's a cider to choose from to be honest can't remember, bottled beer is available but as we all know is rather costly the reason to bring this up is to encourage people into the bar where profits could be made then should be more choices, appreciate where the hotel is located not far from the sea front, and the establishment feels most people will be out which I understand, but a good hotel bar can be a good focal point get people together creates good vibes among guests , and gets tills ringing for profit for reinvestment.
It was a good price for what we got.The location was excellent and parking was fine. The staff were very friendly.
This hotel needs an injection of money to improve the fabric of the building both inside and out.It all looks very tired.
friendly staff, the location was good price was reasonable, breakfast was good
no double glazing so let so much noise in from outside rowdy in the middle of the night in the back car park, curtains in our room and were shabby and unkempt no spoons for making drinks ?
Excellent location, easy parking very convenient all round. Bed was comfortable
They need to put some kind of sound proofing in, we could hear everything from every room surrounding us, upstairs & to the sides. The floor boards don’t just creak the screek! Wouldn’t suggest it if you want a decent sleep without being disturbed by other guests
The location
Dirty, hard beds and rude staff
I was very happy at Trouville Hotel I m a regular customer and this is my favourite Hotel in Bournemouth The team with special mention for Sebastian and Signa and Abdullah are very friendly and excellent problem solving and Customer Service The Manager is always available to offer support or help if needed Hotel is clean . very comply beds rooms are spacious very good breakfast with choice of acontinental breakfast and English breakfast which is very tasty and good Location is excellent BUS stops to Swanage Allume Chine Beach Westbourne Bournemouth city center are handy and just few minutes away Restaurants near by are available and Bournemouth pier just 10 minutes walking The swimming pool and sauna are very nice indoor for be used on cold days I really enjoyed my stay and I will continue definitely to come to this Hotel for the future
According to me everything was perfect
Staff and lication
No time table for pool not always available to guest due to swimming lessons
Carpet badly stained. View- piping n building less than l0ft away. Staff were not forthcoming with info. Decor n furniture very outdated and tatty.
All of the above
Walking distance to the beach and town centre, staff very friendly, heated pool and jacuzzi, dogs allowed, good price, breakfast (basic but nice) and decent size rooms.
The hotel is very dated and our bedroom views were of other buildings/pipes. You can hear other guests walking above your room and outside your door,
Nothing apart from location
Very dated dirty furniture served wine in dirty glasses very noisy some sort machine came on about midnight and was loud all night windows have blown so traffic noise is loud bed very soft had to go in bunk bed to avoid the noise that was rock hard
The rooms were outdated, but clean.
I specifically booked this hotel, for the swimming pool and facilities. However was not allowed to use asThere was swimming lessons on both days we were there. It was the only reason we booked this hotel. Was promised an email by the manager but as yet nothing received.
Everything good and all in walking distance too town beaches pubs restaurants etc helpful friendly staff to
