The room looked nothing like the pictures. It was dirty and had an unpleasant smell, which made our stay uncomfortable.

Perfect location away from the hussle and bussle of the centre, plenty of places to eat nearby

the room was exceptionally nice and the facilities were well worth it. the extra bits in terms of shower gel and soap were a lovely touch.the beds, although seemingly small for someone who is 2 meters tall, worked out really well. if you like a location without minding a bit of uphill walking from the city center, it's fantastic

I was with my family in this hotel , we found bedbugs and go home . The staff refund money only for one room ( we paid for 3 rooms ) .

I did not have the breakfast, but the location was good and it was hard to find car park

Well, it goes without saying parking this area is a pain and expensive, but that's priced into the good value of this residence.

I paid for an economy overnight stay in a central location that was safe, quiet and clean. I was all of these. No frills - reflected in the price.

Milk to make tea, tea and coffee in the room wasn'tavailable. Fridge wasn't plugged in. A sign saying "plug fridge in" would have been helpful, along with a simple map showing just how close a reasonable small supermarket was so it would easy to buy milk, tea/coffee.

No Aircon or Fan in the room. It was hot. Big open window didn’t help much

I stayed in The Lodge last month. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The owner was so kind and helpful. Gem of a person. He made my stay so comfortable. The room was very nice. It had attached a bath. A big flat screen tv. A nice cupboard. Kettle with tea and coffee. The best thing about this place was its location. Just 10 mins away from the beach and the nearest restaurants. Even if you need a late kebab, you can walk for 10 mins and you will find it. This place felt like home because of the hospitable environment and especially the owner who would greet you like your best friend. Very friendly staff.. I highly recommend this place.

The gentleman who checked us in was lovely. Location brilliant! We had a triple room as it was a last minute booking. Beds were clean and comfortable, plenty towels available, coffee facilities etc. We only stayed 1 night so didn’t spend much time in room, so whilst the decor is a little dated it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Owner really friendly and helpful. Great location to the beach, local shop and bus stops. Accommodation clean and comfortable 5 star service

Room given on the front of property, too close to front door where people smoke and socialise, too noisy

The owner cancelled my booking on the day and stole my money. He won’t refund it and my children and I had to get a train back home that day as we had nowhere to stay. Awful.

We were able to check in a bit earlier, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Rooms were clean.

There was no hot water in the shower in one of the rooms we booked. The bathrooms were tiny. There was no easy parking close to the accommodation. Sleep was disturbed by very noisy people in the room above. Noise was late and began again very early the next morning.

Clean and close to all amenities host was friendly

Only downside don’t do breakfast

Lovely hotel very comfy beds and my double room was big and bonus was the mini fridge in the room

The landlord was aggressive went to raise his hand to me when challenged .place smelt of pakis bed bugs bit my leg nearly had my leg amputated
