    • Bed comfy but could do with headboard as marks on walls
    • Location. Price.
    • We had a 1 night stay,to visit gloucester quays, reception staff very welcoming, the room was basic, but for the price was good value, most importantly to us anyway, the room was nice and clean, and a nice comfy bed,we were only there to get our heads down for the night,we paid the extra £15.00 for a later check out of 1pm,which is well worth it if your not a early riser, close to shops and a pub,and about 1.7 miles from the lovely gloucester quays.

    Cons -

    • Lift not working
    • No parking on site.
    • Nothing really, like I say basic but very clean.

Everything was excellent except that the elevator wasn’t working, otherwise my rating would have been 10’s across the board. I was staying in one of the rear rooms on the 2nd floor which would seem to be a modernish extension. The room was exceedingly spacious, airy and well appointed, TV, fridge, kettle etc and the en-suite shower was bordering on a power shower. The highlight for me though was the bed linen. The bedsheets were so soft it was like silk. I swear I almost booked another night just to sleep in those sheets they were that good. Great access for the train station and there’s a friendly cafe diner right across the road that does a good and reasonably priced breakfast. The staff were very helpful suggesting the best directions to get to my destination, and recommending cabs.

Lift was out of order, and it would have been nice to have been told the lights only operated when you inserted your card key into a ‘socket’ on the wall. (It was dark when I checked in and I couldn’t read the information sheet I was given.)

Good value accommodation in central spot and staff very friendly and helpful. The central location.

Room was at front of hotel and was very noisy as bus stops just outside and nightclubs . The noise went on until the early hours of the morning!

The mattress was a little dipped in the middle but didnt really bother us but might if your used to firmer sleeping

Location wasn’t too bad. Managed to find free overnight (6pm to 8am) parking close by.

Lift was broken. Shower didn’t drain properly and my gf complained of a rotten smell. I can’t comment on last point as my cold had destroyed my sense of smell.

Had lots of amenities, was clean, and quite a generous sized room

The pillows were either too big and hard, or way too soft and flimsy. And the fitted bed sheet didn’t really fit the mattress, the corners kept pulling off.

The property was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We've stayed there quite a few times now. It is so convenient.

I wasn't expecting a lot as the price seemed too good to be true however the room was lovely and clean and had more amenities than more expensive stays we looked at. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the hotel was close to the town centre and walking distance from transport links. The staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave our bags behind the desk and pay for extra time to check out. The hotel was clean throughout and I would highly recommend this being a choice.

Location e it was clean. The hot water was not working but they offered a room in another hotel but we decided to not moved

The hot water was not working but I know it was not their fault

    Nice shower

Lift out of order - walked up 3 flights of stairs as room was quieter Towels threadbare and fraying at the edges2 x radiators in the room that did not workBed not very comfortable

Accessibility is utmost in what to like with this hotel! The bed mattress comes second as it has been one of the most comfortable ones I've slept on in a hotel. Well done!

Cleanliness could be improved. There was a peculiar smell in the room. Cannot pinpoint if it was the carpet or the cleaning solution used. Also, there were corners that could have been cleaned better.

    8CathyPosted on: 12-22-2025

The quiet room at the rear of the hotel ( which I’d asked for - having stayed before and found the front rooms v noisy) was perfect. The young lady on reception was super-helpful and pleasant. The bedroom was very clean.

Having requested a quiet room at the back via Booking.Com, it was irritating to get an email from them saying I’d have to phone the hotel and ask. On hindsight, I’ll do the next booking over the phone. We both thought the mattresses were too thin and hard.

    9RobertPosted on: 12-19-2025

Clean and central location. Receptionists were polite and helpful.

Parking and drop off were awkward.

    8StephenPosted on: 12-19-2025

Tell me I'm a fool...but I NEVER read reviews online before booking hotels as (to date) negative reviews have never held much credence and yep...once again this was the case...I can only speak as I find but the Hotel was ● clean● tidy● with friendly staff ● and in a great locationNO BED BUGS! NO DEPOSIT TO BE PAID! NO GRUMPY STAFF! NO DIRTY ROOM!

Nothing to dislike to be honest.. everything was stones throw from this Hotel including the Train Station

Loved the spacious room and excellent location to the centre of Gloucester. Even the parking was easy, just across the road ar Kings Way carpak. Everything was just easy.
