N.a
Good location for exploring Gloucester, close to Dockland, the town centre and the cathedral.
Spencer and his daughter were lovely, the bed was comfortable, and despite how central the hotel is, it was very quiet
Unfortunately some bits of maintenance required here and there. The rooms were passable for the price, but the bathrooms both need a bit of TLC.
It was friendly as soon as we arrived . Welcoming.I love places with character and charm . This hotel had it .It was easy to find and in a lovely spot to go for a walk . The owner was super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us . I liked the fact that the milk was proper milk in the fridge in the room and not the awful little pots of milk . The hotel was very clean , we felt safe and valued guests . Thank you
Nothing !
The location
No parking, no ventilation, I got bitten 30 times by horse flies and had to go see a doctor.
It is a spacious place with an excellent location just near Gloucester Quays, which is excellent value for money.
Spencer was very welcoming .Hotel room was very clean Breakfast was excellent.
Friendly, welcoming staffComfy bedMilk in the fridge, a couple of biscuits and a chocolate! All extras I didn’t expect.
The road was a bit noisy but that’s what you get when you’re so close to the middle of the city.
Young guy who checked us in was pleasant and helpful. Refreshments provided were good - a nice touch. Toiletries also provided but we didn't use them. Managed to park at the property on our second night but had to move at 8am the next day. Very close to Quayside, which was a lovely area.
For the price we paid, the hotel and room was very Tired, dated and decor was cheap. Duvets were thin. Touch-lamp kept switching itself on. Room was hot but it was so noisy (seagulls!) to keep window open - people sat chatting in the garden until late, which disturbed us. You could also hear other guests in the property. I did not feel safe with my son on The road that the hotel is situated on (but just beyond was the quayside which was lovely)
Spencer and his son Kyle were friendly and wonderful hosts. The "traditional breakfast" was fantastic, and well worth the additional cost. Convenient location just a short walk from the docks area.
For my purposes; sightseeing, the location was excellent. Cathedral and Historic Docks area withing only a short walking distance. The 'full english' breakfast was very good.
No space for putting clothes way in room. This didn't bother me, though, as I always tend to live out of a suitcase when on holiday
Good service, good hosting, good location
-Very good location to walk to nearby sites-Parking in the Quays shopping centre about 6-7 minutes walk away. £15 per 24 hours.-Comfortable room-Friendly staff-Good value -Breakfast available -Good snacks and drinks in the room (free)-Hand sanitiser bottles provided in bathroom which is a nice touch
No onsite parking but there is other parking nearby so this isn't much of an issue.
Very good value for money. It was a nice touch to provide some little extras (e.g. complimentary cookies, a bottle of spring water and mini-toiletries) in the room. Although the hotel is located on a fairly busy main road, the room was quiet and I got a decent night's sleep.
I was very pleased with everything about the stay. The room was very good, the staff were very helpful. I don't do breakfast. The facilities were very good.
I have some visual problems, which I didn't tell anyone about ahead of my stay, and going down stairs was not easy for me.
A serviceable cheapish option in a good location, close to most of the central facilities. Rooms are serviceable, and the management friendly.
