ibis Gloucester

Hotel currently not operating but they were good enough to find an alternative for us at no extra cost.

The room and whole hotel is tired/tatty. Some rooms are occupied by longer term residents.

We were booked into the Ibis and they rang us up to say they were closing for refurbishment and they moved us to the Holiday Inn. We only stayed one night at the Holiday Inn instead of 2 nights as the noise in the corridors and next door were to noisy all night. The ibis rang us up to ask why we had let the Holiday Inn and we explained why. We ask if they were closed and they said no they had a big party booked in.We found the whole experience terrible if The Ibis had explained about the party we would have understood but very upset we were lied to.And discussed our holiday was cut short.

I can only comment on the holiday in as ibis was being refurbished. The staff were helpfully & polite on the phone & organising us to move hotels & to one which was still near where we needed to be for our event. So was NOT bad at all but am unable to make any comments or click any faces. We look forward to staying at the ibis in the future

Do not accept a move to the Holiday Inn

we had our booking moved to the holiday inn Gloucester a couple of weeks before our stay, we were told this was an upgrade, the Holiday Inn was filthy and very run down, this was a downgrade !

The Ibis Hotel contacted me about 2 weeks before I was due to travel to say the Hotel was closed till later in the year due to a project being carried out and they had rebooked me into the Holiday Inn just up the road from them all terms and conditions the same. So this Rating In NOT for the Ibis and any questions I could/have answered relate to the Holiday Inn Cheltenham/Gloucester.

All good only little complaint was room a little small.

I cant believe i was only given less than 2 weeks notice to inform me that the rooms i had booked were cancelled as the hotel was shut!!! Surely you knew long before then that you would be unable to fulfill my booking. I was booked into the Holiday Inn instead but the whole process was handles badly.

No Ibis. Had to spend additional £400 for day less of stay in alternative hotel. Very unhappy.

The room was ok, but nothing special. View was the car park. The booking was at the local Holiday Inn as we'd been transferred there a few days before by Ibis who announced the temporary closure of their hotel.

The food was overcooked, over-priced and slow. We would have been better to have eaten at a local pub.

We were transferred to the Holiday Inn nearby as the ibis hotel is having a refit.The reception area and restaurant were very good and staff most accommodating. No problem too small.

The room at the Holiday Inn was small, furniture scuffed and there was a very large crack in the sink in the bathroom. The room not worth the price on the system.

First of all, Ibis moved me to The Holiday Inn because of renovations. This review is about my stay there. we had unpacked all of our belongings when we realised the toilet didn’t flush. The manager moved us to another room which took a while for us to do. The toilet in the next room seemed fine until the morning when it also stopped working. We were then moved to an executive room and were very happy with this due to having to move twice. The rooms were very nice, great breakfast and kind and polite staff.

That my booking was actually transferred to the Holiday Inn, with no additional payment.All the answers given all relate to the Holiday Inn, which would normally have been approx. £100 more than we paid Ibis.

Bed was comfortable enough, but found the pillows very hard and uncomfortable. Some hotels provide various pillows, but not this one. The room was simple, but clean and very reasonable for the price. The breakfast was ok- ish. Full English and continental

It was a lovley hotel, great location for us too as its very close to town. We booked a double room and the room was very clean and decent size too. Lovley shower, friendly staff everything was perfect, ended up staying an extra 2 days.
