Pros +
- Location and proximity to public transport.
- Super friendly and helpful staff. Cosy and warm bedroom with comfortable bed. Hearty breakfast!
- Such friendly staff. Hi to Hannah and James who looked after everyone so well in the evening and the lovely lady who works so hard at breakfast time. The food is great and lots of drink options in them bar. Good sized rooms and good showers.
Cons -
- Breakfast was basic, cobwebs in dining room and bedroom. Lounge and bar was being redecorated and the smell of paint was prevalent which meant not able to sit in loounge bar due to painter and smell.
- It was very cold I left early
- We really enjoyed our stay! The only thing was that the electric shower was a bit weak.

We stayed here for a gig in the city centre, great location. The room itself was clean & tidy. Breakfast was delicious. The night porter was really helpful, getting us some extra milk!

Friendly staff, great location, lots of parking. Good breakfast selection, will stay again.
Very clean and nicely furnished wuth a superb breakfast. Staff helpful and generally a very fine hotel
Staff were friendly Nice room which was comfortable
No wifi
Friendly helpful staff. Room nice and comfortable. Nice bathroom (no hairs).Well laundered or maybe new sheets (no hairs).
Pillows were solid and fulsome a bit difficult to get comfortable on. Shower in bath did not work but there was a shower cubicle too. Had a snack of garlic mushrooms which were inedible - I was given another snack in lieu. Could have done with more tea, milk and coffee sachets with the kettle and maybe some bottled water?
Location good. Big car park. Bus stop outside property, so Nottingham centre easily accessed without having to drive in.Staff helpful and friendly.Outside courtyard would be lovely in the summer.
Room called Wisteria. Marketed as a suite. Really was a spacious bedroom with a sofa. Comfortable but nothing special.Heating only on a certain times. Bathroom walls in need of re painting. Toilet seat loose and door lock temperamental. Areas around the hotel also a bit tired/in need of a refresh. At breakfast, piece of glass/plastic found in cereal.
Breakfast was very good Location excellent for Nottingham
Very dull lighting
Breakfast very good but coffee cold
Having to shower in the dark as the bathroom light was flashing like a disco.
A hidden gem, absolutely loved this place.Staff were so kind and nice. The room was spacious and cosy. Food was lovely . 10/10 would highly recommend and will definitely be returning
Very friendly and helpful staffRoom was great, clean, everything we neededGreat location - right on the 10 bus route so you can be in the centre of Nottingham in 20-25 mins
The breakfast eas excellent and the staff were very welcoming. The room was cosy and warn with tea and coffe faciliies but the bed was quite bouncy.
The bed was comfortable but a bit too bouncy.
Bus stop straight outside so we could get a bus into the city. Right I Ruddington so could walk to restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable.
The radiator in the bathroom didn't seem to work. People were very noisy leaving the Soul event.
Room was very small but bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Shower was poor
The delightfuly diverse buildings in anadjoining mews/courtyard layout coupled with gardens and patios make this a gem of a location especially as the bus stop to Nottingham is right outside. Definitely a good place to stay again.
Lovely room, comfortable bed, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to dine at the Cottage Hotel on this occasion.
Warm friendly welcome, nice and clean building, very polite staff, lovely breakfast. Iron plus ironing board
Not much really just a couple of niggly bits.1) No towel rail near the sink ( Petunia room )2) I wake early in the morning and it was absolutely freezing even with the blanket from the wardrobe. The heating didn't kick in until around 0600 I was informed later that I could have asked night porter to put the heating on
