Warm friendly helpful staff to greet us. Spacious rooms lovely continental breakfast.
No fans and it was a very hot day
Beautiful pub with good drinks selection food offers and when we stayed entertainment.Free car parking for guests which is good and the breakfast was great I'd also recommend paying more for the cooked breakfast this was very good quality food and excellent taste Beds are very comfy and rooms are compact with all you need
Rooms are very warm and the fan doesn't help cool it down would benefit from the air con unit or better cooling facilities especially in the warm weather. The pillows have a plastic cover that makes you sweat
Nice little double room for the price. Bed was comfy, shower nice and big. Room and hall was clean. Very cheap drinks in a pub downstairs and very good choice.
"Continental breakfast" included in price was just some juice, milk, cereals and fruits, but we have ordered full English for £9.99 done in a air fryer, which would be nice on any other day as we were hangover form the night before and needed some grease.
Location was good. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
The bathroom had a musty, nasty smell. There were no easily accessible sockets anywhere to plug in the kettle or charge a phone. One extension cable that was tucked right behind the bed.The white duvet cover had a large brown stain near the bottom.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful right from the carpark. When we couldn't work out which door to enter, they came out and escorted us in. The food was good. There was a great atmosphere in the pub below. However if we'd wanted a quiet weekend it would have been a little noisy, everything was all finished at 23:00. We loved the atmosphere though.
The breakfast was continental or buy off the menu. This was pointed out by a message from the property before arrival but I would have preferred to know when I booked.
The faciliies clean and nice but the room was small. Tight for parking. Customer service excellent coming from a long way could have done with a bigger room.
Nice property was moved into a better room straight away nice continental breakfast too lovely young women who moved us room very helpful
First room we was in there was an awful smell drains !! so they put us in another bigger an better room with no drain smell ,, we had paid for the continental breakfast we ordered a hot sandwich but had to sit an wait then ask were our continental was ?? As the man presumed we did not want it as we ordered a hot sandwich they should still fetch the continental out as you pay for it
Nice and comfy, lovely staff
Banging from workmen at 9am, latest checkout was 11am so wanted lie in
Nice bar and restaurant
The smell coming from the toilet was awful and the bed was so uncomfortable
Nice continental selection for breakfast and option to upgrade to cooked breakfast. Bed very comfortable. Friendly staff member brought us glasses for the room.
Friendly staff, convenient location
Poor breakfast
Pleasant
Clean and comfortable but expensive for what it was
Friendly, helpful staff on arrival.
Room was very small, only hanging space was above the kettle & blocking the mirror. The room needed a good carpet & surface deep clean- clearly just dusted rather than wiped down. Small car park- one night it was full. I emailed on booking stating I was dairy free and told it wouldn't be an issue as they had alternative milks etc, however they said at breakfast they don't stock alternative milks or spread etc so it was dry toast for breakfast. On my first night there was a lot of shouting outside due to some residentsurinating up the wall, which made me feel unsafe as a single traveller. Disappointing stay.
Staff were friendly and welcoming including the door security even though we arrived on a busy Saturday evening. Shown to our room and the check out times and breakfast times were clearly explained.Room and en-suite was beautifully clean and cosy, all towels and bedding were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The downstairs bar had entertainment on which did not disturb our evening or sleep, we could not hear it in our room. Breakfast was very nice and there was a great choice, we opted for cereal but we were offered toast and pastries. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others. Owners and staff should be very proud
Absolutely nothing
Breakfast was good, the hotel were able to source gluten free bread and oatmilk for me which really helped. The dinners were excellent and good value for money and the room was clean. Very friendly and helpful staff and good free wifi.
There was a strange sulphor smell in the bathroom, perhaps issues with the pipes?
Afternoon meal excellent. Good service, did not wait long for meal to arrive at the table. The meal was very satisfactory.
BREAKFAST ! Three attempts to get a HOT cup of tea. One lady on the table next to us went to her room to boil the kettle as she was fed up of waiting, as they had a long way to travel home. Toast served was cold. No gluten free bread, a member of staff had to nip out to Tescos across the road to purchase some. Continental breakfast was a disappointment, with my wife being coeliac all she had for breakfast was gluten free toast and orange juice. Lamp in the bedroom was missing a bulb, ball of hair on the carpet, blue sticking plaster stuck to side of bath. Corners of skirting board in bathroom very dirty with dust. Looked like the floor had been swept into corner and left.
Really nice atmosphere in the pub and the rooms are well enough away from the road and potential pub noise. I had a good evening meal and a good continental selection. It was also good to have breakfast available before 8am
The shower was quickly variable from hot to cold and back again so not sure if it was on a pump system. Also the room lock was really difficult to lock and unlock and needs some attention
