We stayed in the French Room, which was lovely overall. However, we had a sleepless night because the air heat pump outside our window kept switching on every three minutes, causing constant noise and vibration throughout the night.
Lovely food both the evening meal and breakfast were superb. Easy to park. Really welcoming staff.
Not sure about the TV controls.
The good bits,Staff were very friendly and professionalThe food we had was very goodSpacious bedroomBest Steak & Ale pie I have had for years
The not so good bitsThe place was looking tired and in need of a refurbishment Refrigeration unit outside the bedroom window was extremely noisy and prevented a good night sleep
Our one night stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Our rooms were excellent and had everything that we needed and more. Our breakfasts were excellent and exactly what we had ordered. The staff were all lovely and friendly and could not have been more helpful, especially the lady who was on breakfast duty. Our evening meal was also very good
We found no fault at all!
Very friendly and breakfast excellent
My room was cold and took some time to heat up. The basin was too low and small so not easy to use.
Fab food, a beautifully comfortable bed and the most welcoming staff. Thank you so much!
Our room was a bit too warm. I turned the radiator down but struggled to get the room to cool down. Only a small thing though!
Absolutely first class customer service from start to finish, wonderful food and everything you need for an overnight stay
Compressor on wall outside French room could keep you awake if you are a light sleeper, church bells chime every hour on the hour too but the pub can’t do anything about that, owner remarked that they will be getting windows replaced in time which will help.
Staff were very friendly and the room was really nice ,Food in the restaurant was great
The cellar cooler outside the bedroom window goes off every half hour for 10 minutes all night I got zero sleep
Proper English Pub. Clean, warm and welcoming.
Excellent in every way, good night sleep in warm room with comfortable bed, Excellent breakfast and excellent evening meal on pie night with good selection of real ale.

Friendly staff, plentiful car parking, comfortable bed and fantastic cooked breakfast.
Nothing to report
Coffee machine in the room, plenty of Toiletries, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Comfy beds. Clean, felt a bit special. Usually one of these things is compromised on a stay, not with this place. Exceptional
The window in the bathroom, the glass wasn't frosted. So, unless you pull down the blind before you go to the loo, which I didnt think of until it was too late, the whole street can see you sat there, as the toilet was right next to the window.
Both Dinner and Breakfast were excellent, staff very helpful. They have a bar for locals/drinkers separate from the dining room which is a bonus
Bathroom a little dated.
Fantastic staff, lovely rooms, bed so cosy, breakfast was really good too
Location, staff great atmosphere very accommodating
The staff were so welcoming and helpful, they organised a takeaway breakfast for us, the location was perfect for Donnington Park. The room was comfy and loads of room. The evening meal was lovely and there was plenty of choice
The only thing was the AC unit outside on the wall that kept going on and off all night.
Very friendly staff and good value. Nice breakfast.
Great location to get to airport, food was amazing and staff were first class
The Staff and the ambience of the pub was fantastic. The food was exceptional in both taste and portion size.
