    Pros +

    • Easy check in, although the receptionist was distracted by a call - therefore no real discussion about where things were (apart from direction to room).
    • Upon entry it was charming, but dated.
    • Inside of the hotel was clean.

    Cons -

    • Only a small matter but an anti slip mat in the bathroom to be used when exiting the shower would have been good. The lack of mat was a slip risk - I used my towel instead.
    • Getting to the room was very confusing and we were constantly getting lost. During our 4 day stay, our room was never cleaned, toilet rolls and towels were not replenished. There was no refrigerator in the room.
    • Glass on all of the exterior was filthy even the sliding doors as you enter. Had cases view but couldn’t see it due to the dirt on the windows. Properties next to hotel had clean windows so nothing to do with weather etc. it wasn’t busy so as a receptionist I would have had to at least give the doors a wipe over to make the entrance more appealing for guests.

    The location was great

Our room heater wasn’t working properly. We stayed with the baby. Also be informed to the staff and one guy came in and one moving heating stuff, but it was so cold

Fantastic location opposite Seaburn beach. Really helpful friendly staff. The room was really spacious, the bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of tea, coffee etc on the hospitality tray (and the staff were happy to give more when we asked). The bathroom was a bit dated but very clean with fluffy white towels. For £60 a night it was great value. There are a couple of great restaurants almost next door (Gabriele's Italian is great) and excellent breakfasts and coffee and cake at the nearby Salthouse Kitchen and Black's Corner.

The room I had allowed me to stay in my wheelchair and make tea and take it to table and go right next to the bed

Clean and staff are amazing it’s a lovey place to relax in

I stay here a few times a year to visit family , close to them and the beach

We originally booked Sunday 15th - Wednesday 18th , we paid £180 for 3 nights , decided to book an extra night which was Saturday, (Valentine’s Day) you charged £179 for 1 extra night total cost £359 for 4 nights, we thought this was ok considering use of the pool and steam room etc, however when we booked in we were informed these would be out of use until monday, 16th this information would have made us reconsider booking valentines night and avoided paying £179 if we knew these were out of order, the pool etc came into effect late Monday hence wasnt used, the other facilities available were either very busy or not what we wanted from our stay , to be honest it was not the best visits we have had in 6 year of visiting

The young man on reception was so lovely , nothing was too much trouble for him . The lady at the pool stood staring at us at the side of the pool . Made us feel very very uncomfortable, the family where playing in the water and was made to feel like we where doing something wrong ! . The bar man also was not very nice either .

Pool lady and the bar Man. The room was far too hot couldn’t turn the heating off so I never slept all night . Not enough milk or sugar in the room . Scruffy windows my daughter actually cleaned the window so she could see the sea

Lovely hotel the bed was amazing

The breakfast was a bit let down and the food was cold even the coffee

    10LaurenPosted on: 2-20-2026

This was our second stay here and it was amazing as always and the breakfast was delicious as always, we were just disappointed the pool was out of service during our stay as this is our favourite way to spend our time but the staff were so kind in giving us a voucher to be able to use after our stay which was much appreciated will be back next week for a swim :)

The room had a slight cigarette smell but nothing that couldn’t be fixed by opening the windows for a bit but apart from that it was very spacious and comfortable

    location for seaview.

the heater was on timer but there was electric radiator. also the swimming pool & steam room share with people out side the hotel which make it very busy.

I like Asian food in the restaurant. Special mention to the Filipino waiter that named Adan. Big thanks to you. He is very accommodating and meets our expectations. All the best

The staff in the reception are not welcoming to the guests I think they need to do proper training on how to give outstanding customer service.
