- Rooms are always basic but clean and tidy. It's really quiet so I always get an excellent night's sleep.Breakfast is good.
- The staff and pool facilities where excellent
Cons -
- Tv doesn’t have Netflix so I couldn’t log into mine ahah
- I'm just disappointed as I could only book a twin room so I called ahead to see if there were any last minute doubles and I was told on the phone that it was no problem, single beds are all made to link together so they will make up a double. However, I arrived to two singles. It's not the end of the world as the single was functional, but I'd prefer not to sleep in a single when travelling. And if you say you can do something for customers, you should follow through with that.Breakfast is always good for basic cooked and ceral/fruit but please please get a better coffee machine. The coffee in the restaurant is pretty awful from that machine.
- We booked the superior room which was the most expensive option on booking.com however when we got to our room our tv didn’t work a member of staff came to have a look and couldn’t seem to fix the issue ether. There was no alternative option given to us just said sorry and left. For booking the superior rooms we expected to have the tv of all things working.

The room was spacious and well laid out beautiful bathroom
We stayed in the premium king room - Cosy spacious room with balcony added bonus.
Great location. Lovely room.
Inside the Pool the surrounding is abit grubby needs a good clean , when swimming could see dirty tiles
Ease of access, lovely food, very helpful staff, very spacious room, shower always hot, comfy bed, stayed an extra night !
Car park was easy to park in. Access to the gym and pool as part of the room is great! Good breakfast choices.
On the second morning we went to get breakfast and they were doing it to order (not buffet style).
Room was very spacious, nice comfortable big bed. Wifi very good.
Bathroom a little tired - shower needed updated - also a set height - prefer shower you can adjust. This is a big hotel, signage around the hotel was not always clear.
Excellent helpful staff and a very comfortable, well equipped room. Very well situated for visiting family over new years.
Musty smelling corridors with no heating making them rather cold. Limited food choice and availability. Were turned away for dinner at 5.15 as they were too busy. (Only 4 in the restaurant at the time) told to try again about 9. Went elsewhere as didn’t want to risk it.
Very clean. Spacious rooms with fabulous comfy beds
Food was real nice Hotel was clean
The noise from other people passing the hotel rooms
Been there a few times it's such a family orientated hotel, The staff are so welcoming on the front reception. Restaurant staff are very friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
Nothing all lovely
Very good
I had an issue with the plug in the sink not working, would not go up or down and seal.
Rooms where nice and clean staff at the reception nice polite and helpful
We were staying at the hotel for a wedding being held there. Later in the day we needed to take my sister and father to a more quiet part. We went to the bar /restaurant we asked for coffee and a couple of drinks the staff refused to serve us as we were part of the wedding party . I could understand this in a way if the bar /restaurant was busy there was 2 tables with people and the rest was empty . There were 3 staff behind the bar 2 younger ones and a supervisor the young boy was polite however the young girl and supervisor were just plain rude . Between my sisters and father we spent around £500 on our accommodation and to be refused this simple request I found appalling. So I wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend it to any family or friends. The wedding was on the sat 20th December and the rest of the hotel didn’t seem that busy very disappointing.
Property was a good price staff friendly rooms clean
Payed for breakfast left the card out for breakfast in the room that didn’t get collected so ended up going to the restaurant for breakfast I would pay for the breakfast again and replacing the items was really slow
Great spa. Friendly welcoming staff. Excelpent breakfast. In house restaurant was really good. Plenty parking. Would visit again when we visit Beamish Museum.
Lovely clean hotel lovely staff food lovely
The nets in the room were ripped did get asked if wanted to move rooms but just shut the curtains as had already used things before we saw. The spa was small one def of stairs into pool closed off. The king size bed was just 2 singles put together not very comfortable didn’t sleep much.
