    Cons -

    • The foyer smelled of smoke and oil and food from the kitchen which was further out. The extraction in the kitchen was not strong enough. As soon as you walked through the doors of the lobby the smell would rub on your clothes and hair
    • Room cold and bedding damp
    • The staff on check in was rude. Cheeky not very helpful we will not be staying there again

Staff and the lobby at the main reception was very good.

Didn't like how the carpet had stains all over it and very visable, had wall paper peeling away from the wall.

    Poor housekeeping

    6MalcolmPosted on: 1-30-2026

The reception area and the other communal areas were well presented with the exception of the restaurant. they all appeared clean too. our room was clean and tidy; in the bathroom the toiletries were very pleasant. We had both dinner and breakfast and the food was good.

Upon arrival at the site by car, there was no obvious indication as to where to park. Everyone appeared to be stopping in the turn area outside the entrance and having to go inside to ask at reception. The receptionist gave the impression she was fed up having to answer the same question over and over. A simple sign directing customers to the appropriate place to park is not too difficult a resolution to this issue. Once parked in the stadium car park we re-entered the hotel. Checking in was easy with the exception of having to download a third party app to pay for parking. unsuccessful on my own phone, the receptionist then proffered a tablet on which this was already installed, even then it was not straightforward. Upon entering the restaurant for an evening meal, we were directed by a member of staff to a table with bench seating. The bench seat cushions however were severely ripped in places, through to the foam, which was clearly visible. This surely is not hygienic, the underlying foam cannot be cleaned as effectively as the smooth vinyl surface. Staff were aware tor the issue but it was evident it had been ripped for some time. We moved ourselves to a place between the ripped areas but we were uncertain why we could not have been seated at any of the other available tables, as the restaurant was practically empty. In the bedroom, the mattress was uncomfortable, the springs able to be felt through the padding, and noisy when moving/turning; the pillows were all unsupportive. All of these issues have been repeatedly mentioned in previous customer reviews over an extended period,
