Holiday Inn Sunderland - City Centre By IHG

Excellent staff and rooms, central location.

Location was perfect, in the city centre and a short walk from public transport links. This meant I didn't need to take the car. The room was very accessible for a wheelchair user. The breakfast was great value and great quality

Nothing in particular

Size of bed and the room was amazing

Phone didn't work in room but reported it and got fixed

Great location, effective blackout curtains, large room, huge shower, quiet location too.Oh and a 24 hour bar too.

Great central location, spacious large King suite room, comfy bed. modern bathroom with good shower, super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. Appreciated the gym too! Thank you for making my business trip smooth and easeful

Fantastic location for New Year Party in Keel Square The Reception and Bar Men were brilliant

Always clean and staff are always lovely

Central location and modern

It was clean and extremely tidy, very well organised and plenty of room! Staff were so friendly!

Everything was great except the toilet making a few funny noises when flushing so didn’t know if it was normal or breaking but apart from that it was an incredible few nights.

Good location and great value New Year’s Day. Rooms clean and spacious.

Lack of staff at check in with long queues. Appreciate NYD but number of visitors would have been known. No food available either .

Comfy, central and the staff were very nice and helpful.

It was great overall, but some nice coffee instead of instant would be great. Also there was an empty wine bottle left in our room, so not perfect cleaning.

Location is superb. Food was excellent. Staff were really friendly. The room was great.

Bar prices were expensive but you expect that in a hotel.

Location good, easily accessible from around the city centre. Easy to get to and welcoming helpful staff.

clean, comfortable and very modern. Staff were very friendly. location was ideal.

No car park

location was fab, comfy bed, and staff were lovely

nothing really

Excellent location , clean comfortable, Ashley (staff on reception) was absolutely amazing! Fast efficient attentive and a credit to holiday inn express! I’ve stayed in many hotels all over the world and she is exceptional! Really enjoyed our stay !

Central to where I needed to be

The first night was fine and second .The sunday night was terrible as all night I could hear a toulet systern running .I didn't sleep

The beds and rooms and the foyer

There were some unclean spots in the bedroom (dusty lampshade)

Great location, lovely room. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect very central to shops, bars ,restaurants.

The hot breakfast items need to be refreshed more often. Items like eggs, were very hard bacon was very hard and dried up after being left for long periods under heat lamps.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely clean and spacious room with comfortable beds.

Car parking is a short walk away, fine if the weather is good but a little challenging in wind and rain!
