Raglan Lodge

Pros +

• No breakfast included, room only
• Disgusting, over flowing bins cigarette ends all over bin and floor. Hole in the ceiling, leaking pipe bucket on the floor Metal cage in the corridor. Sign on front says collect key from Spar. No Spar but an Asda. Nothing nice about this property. Irish man grey haired in the Asda, I asked for location as Id drove for six hours and tired. His reply to the Raglan location was up there through trees turn left over the motorway. Its back roads but quicker , he lives near there so cuts out all the traffic. Didnt mention anything about a key. Followed the instructions, drove round in a circle to be met by a sign collect from Spar. No Spar just Asda where Id been. Got the key back over. Did not stay and took the key back straight away. Two new staff on , asked to see the Irish man whod given out wrong information, they said he not in. Supposed he thought it was funny. I was not laughing. So the service from the shop and lodges. Shocking service
• Not a lot. We did at least have the ability to turn the heat up, and the radiator did work.

Cons -

• Spare pillows were stained with no pillowcases so could not be used. Main light only, no bedside light for one person to read and no dimmer setting was unavailable. Skirting boards and carpets were dusty and could do with a good clean.
• Then into the room. Glasses used dust and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and desk. Radiator covered in pink paint. Cushions on sofa not put back right. Stained carpet. Bathroom needs a good clean. Flees you catch from this place
• The lodge was untidy and in disrepair. There were stock carts lying around in the hallways, damaged doors, mold in the bathroom, stains on the carpet and holes in bedsheets. The whole building smelt strongly of damp and the room was freezing when we arrived. The cost of the stay was incredibly expensive for the poor quality of the accommodation. We expected basic, we didn't expect a building that felt like it needed demolishing.
