Pros +
- proximity to Stonehenge, people were kind, breakfast was amazing! The attached restaurant in amazing as well!
- Lovely atmosphere, good food, comfortable rooms
- We stayed in England for two months and this was our favorite hotel. Room was beautiful in detail with a coffee set that included fresh milk in a thermos, ground coffee with a press pot, excellent brand of teas. Breakfast with poached eggs/haddock!
Cons -
- Honestly, there was nothing that we didn't like.
- Room too small. Small bed but very little room to manoeuvre. Bathroom door hinges noisy (I need to get up several times during the night and the door woke my wife every time). The television tuned to serial killers channel and could not be changed. Apparently, they were grateful I mentioned it because they had forgotten to chase contractors and said they should have told us. They should.
- For people of an older age, dining chairs were hard to sit on for a meal. Staff were very understanding and produced cushions.

The quaint atmosphere, and friendly staff!
this inn is historic and has been renovated beautifully. Our rooms were very comfortable. We arrived later than we wanted, but were greeted and made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was exceptional. I wish we had been able to stay longer, and I would love to visit in summer, as they have lovely grounds. The staff were friendly, helpful, and informative.

Instant hot showers…. Amazing food, quality!!!!!Jane, Liv. Eve & Phoebe were so courteous.
People - without exception - friendly and professional. Breakfast very good.

Just outside the center of Salisbury, a comfortable inn with a nice restaurant.
Everything was great - wonderful room, excellent dinner, good breakfast. All in a surprisingly relaxed and casual atmosphere. We expected stuffy and found friendly instead.
Where do I even begin with how wonderful The Pembroke Arms is? In the category of 18th century English coaching inns, this bed and breakfast stands in a league of its own. It is, in and of itself, a reason to go on holiday any time of year. In the winter, snuggle up in its oh-so-decadent newly refurbished rooms and sit in front of the roaring fireplace in the parlor before a candle-lit dinner in the dining room. In the summer, enjoy the lively indoor/outdoor spaces and beautifully maintained garden. The breakfast offerings are sumptuous and included with your room. There is so much more to say, the owners and staff really have thought of every detail. But the biggest gem is the people. Every person goes out of their way to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. This was our fourth stay and everyone feels like family now. The biggest downfall here is that like us, you may find that nothing else quite measures up to The Pembroke Arms.
Interesting property well looked after and individually presented. Excellent staff. Food also excellent. Very good value too.
For people of an older age, dining chairs were hard to sit on for a meal. Staff were very understanding and produced cushions.
It was small, cosy and intimate and there was a large log burning stove in the bar area. There are two kitchens, main kitchen and pizza kitchen.
No lift on site so might not be suitable for elderly or disabled guests.
Just a really Nice place to stay and experience. We didn't eat or get a chance to try the breakfast but all the facilities were really nice as was the room, with loads of nice little extras that are missing from so many places these days. Especially at such a good value. And all the staff we encountered were really nice and helpful. All you could ask for really.
Nothing that comes to mind.
On Booking.com., it did not say that the double room (room 3) was small. Had I known it was small (and it really is small) I would have booked the standard. Room 3 is more suited for single occupancy than sharing. Other than that, The Pemboke Arms was great.
The restaurant and food was great.
The bedroom and ensuite was small and the bathroom needs updating. Made up by the service and restaurant.
Great food, fabulous and friendly staff, gorgeous location and excellent value for money
This was our second visit, just as amazing as the first time, lovely comfortable rooms ,clean and cosy, fantastic breakfast plus when you get your keys you are given a home made cookies to enjoy with the great hot drink selection in the room.
Warm welcome from staff to a lovely homely pub/hotel, lovely room with plenty of space and a comfy bed. The food (dinner and breakfast) was fantastic. Oh and the homemade cookies on arrival were great. Excellent value for money.
Nice pub with good food and friendly customer service. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed breakfast.
Everything about our stay was fantastic! From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. We ate in the restaurant in the afternoon, then again in the evening and had breakfast in the morning - all was exceptional. Every member of staff we met was a dream to communicate with. We will be back - Tanya and Jax
