Pros +
- Great charm and very clean. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.
- The Greyhound is an old coaching inn that has been modernized but still keeps its character. The staff went out of their way to be helpful even preparing a breakfast the day before when we had to go out early.
- The owner welcomed me so warmly that it felt like I was returning home. The room was cozy and just what we needed after a full day exploring Stonehenge. The hotel’s restaurant was outstanding, offering delicious dishes perfectly paired with wine.
Cons -
- The shower in the bathroom tended to spray water on the floor and the bathroom could do with some more towel racks, but that is a minor issue.
- The shower temperature was a little cold
- We asked for a late checkout because my wife wasn't feeling well. There was a 15 pound surcharge, which only allowed us an extra hour. In fairness, they told us this would be the deal and we took it, but the added cost seemed excessive for one hour since the booking is already quite pricy.

We really like all of it. The breakfast was good with generous portions and selection. The room was comfortable and well done. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also a great location.
Staff were fantastic .. I had an early start and they left yoghurt fresh fruit cereal and a croissant in our room so I could have breakfast … my husband had a wonderful cooked breakfast later
The shower temperature was a little cold
We stayed in the coach house, which was lovely and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that we didn't spend more time there...

Good food and accommodation, convenient access.
The rooms were very comfortable and well designed and decorated. The owners moved a previous booking I'd made and helped with changes to the additional booking I made. I appreciated this. I had a drink in the bar in the evening and enjoyed the quiet in there, no piped music! lovely. Breakfast was great with good quality ingredients and loads of choice.
We couldn't find the TV remote in our room.
Right in the heart of WiltonGood ParkingVery friendly staffGood well equiped room and en-suite Excellent dinner I would return again
Nothing really, but the room I was in had a lot of cobwebs round ceilings and on some walls.Didn’t bother me but gives the impression of incomplete cleaning.
Good hosts. Helpful. Great food. Quiet.
Nothing really. Limited parking on-site but plenty of nearby parking.
Very nice Staff, rooms, pub and food
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, as were our evening meals in the restaurant. The location is perfect for seeing the sites in the area. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Excellent breakfast with perfect poached eggs, all cooked on request, nothing left on hot plates. Dinner very good, everyone served at the same time. The staff could not have been more helpful, always pleasant and friendly. Special shout-out to Kelly.
My misunderstanding when I booked which gave us the apartment at the top of the building - no lift. The building is an old coaching inn so does not lend itself to a lift installation. Despite this we would make another booking here.
Ambience ataff and breakfast
All was great
Friendly welcome. Very comfortable. Tastefully decorated bedroom. Good breakfast.
Comfortable stay. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Lovely owners and staff.
Different to find a negative thing to say. Oldie worldly pub with rooms with all the character and no negatives. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom up a staircase but easy to navigate at night. The food in the pub restaurant was very good and the survice the same. Despite it being midweek in march I would recommend booking because it was very busy with locals. A very good sign of quality and value for money. The excellent and very inexpensive bus ride to Salisbury was opposite the pub entrance so no terrible and expensive city centre experience to deal with. Highly recommend and will stay again.
Tiny thing. A small shelving unit in a large walk in wardrobe would have made folding and storing clothes easier.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade yogurt pots with lemon in. Rest of breakfast choices were excellent and tasty. Had dinner here too which was delicious. Room (family/garden suite) was brilliant for us.
In the suite we had a microwave, fridge and sink with washing up liquid but no plug for the sink and absolutely no crockery or cutlery, plus a cloth in order wipe down the table would have been useful but that is the only fault.
The staff were amazing
The apartment wasn’t clean enough being a housekeeper myself I noticed stuff when opening drawers in kitchen there were bits in them. The cupboards had dirty stains up themThe microwave was dirty The bathroom window above door had cobwebs around it the logs in the bathroom had dust and cobwebsWhen I stripped the bed today the quilt was stained and there was a yellow pillow Apart from all that it would have been great as there are amazing apartments could have just done with a deep clean.
The Greyhound was in the perfect place for my overnight stay. The owner was welcoming and very helpful. I was offered a choice of rooms and stayed in a lovely room “Avon” at the front of the pub. Any worries that I had about noise were unfounded and I slept soundly. The en-suite was lovely with a fabulous shower.Dinner and breakfast were lovely. The pub itself is very well presented. Heartily recommend!
Loved it.
