Pros +
- Easy to navigate to this hotel because it lies off the Salisbury ring road. Big car park that feels safe. Well lit at night. Most attractive building - outside and in! I would imagine it's origins to be as a coaching inn?Decorated very beautifully, with subtle colours and soft furnishings to compliment. When I arrived (female, travelling alone) - I was greeted by the reception by Victoria who informed me that I'd been given an upgrade to my room 'as I was a woman travelling alone'.I found this very satisfactory. I had prebooked on line, therefore all I had to do was register my debit card.Next, I was shown to my room. What a delight! Views to the river and fields beyond. Beautiful room.Slight negative: only hand soap is provided.I normally bring my own shampoo and shower gel... but, somehow I forgot to pack these items along with my hairbrush!!!Mind on other things! I'd travelled from Louth, Lincolnshire specially for a funeral just outside Salisbury.Good night's sleep on first night. Not so good second night as there were excited, squeaky, high pitched children arrived in the room next me. (HALF TERM HAZARD).Noticeable the walls not very thick? Not really a problem once I'd inserted my ear plugs - but it took away the serenity of the room for me. However, I was feeling on heightened sensitivity.Breakfast: normally, when I travel alone I like my breakfast in my room - there is no room service here. That being noted, breakfast is served in a delightful atrium and you don't feel weird be on your own. The food was fantastic and the breakfast staff equally amazing.I walking into Salisbury both mornings via the Cathedral grounds - stunning! Fifteen/twenty minutes brisk walk first able person's to the centre and all the shops.Biggest selling points: stunning property; well managed; immaculate staff.Wish I had more reasons to come to Salisbury.
- Room and view were lovely, staff were very nice, particularly Victoria on reception. Breakfast was nice but sausages could have been better
- The room was a good size and had everything we needed. The team were super lovely. Having the free shuttle bus to town was an added bonus. We slept really well and had the best breakfast!
Cons -
- No room service.Only hand wash in rooms. However, this paled into insignificance with the service and welcome of the staff. Including from the housekeeping team to reception and catering.
- Sausages at breakfast were dry
- Room restock didn’t include replacement biscuits.

Breakfast was fantastic - a good range of options and really tasty. Our room was amazing. Beautiful view of the river and cathedral. Gorgeous four poster bed and it felt really luxurious and special.
Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming staff. Great restaurant recommendations.
Room restock didn’t include replacement biscuits.
Great location with view of Cathedral and surrounding old town. You can walk to Cathedral in 10 to 15 minutes.Staff we’re very helpful and friendly The hotel run a shuttle bus into town centre.Parking facilities were good
Beautiful views over the river and cathedral, we asked for a room with few stairs for my mother and they instantly replied and accommodated us.Very helpful at reception
Driver of the Hotels shuttle bus parked across disabled spaces making it difficult to get into them
Quiet, relaxing location.Stunning view of the Cathedral and Water Meadow from the outside terrace.10 min walk to the town centre.Super friendly and helpful staff.

Really easy to find, great location within walking distance of the Cathedral and Main Square. Room had all the necessary facilities and the bed was comfortable
A total nightmare at breakfast on our first day. Arrived to find no plates, no cutlery and no food. The staff were swamped. However the second day it was excellent. Throughout the staff were incredible trying really hard to do their best.
Everything was nice and friendly, clean, they had a free mini bus to town and back. Could not have been nicer people.
The breakfast had a lot of choices but I only had toast, so the extra cost was not good value for money.
We had a lovely view from our room which overlooked the amazing garden and decking area (not the weather for it at the moment unfortunately). Our room was comfortable as was the bed and there was refreshments in the room. The breakfast both mornings was really good and the chef made fresh poached eggs for me which were perfect.
There was nothing we didn't like; we booked a restaurant in the town the first night and it was raining but the hotel had a shuttle bus which dropped us off and brought us home. The second night the bus was not available but fortunately we had booked a restaurant within walking distance.
All of the experience it is a beautiful hotel the staff are so helpful the breakfast was excellent lovely comfotable beds
Great location and friendly staff. Really appreciated the shuttle bus service in the rain.
Clearly a busy weekend. Staff struggled to keep up with the breakfast rush.
The hotel is in a great location next to the river and a 10 minute through to the centre. The hotel itself is very attractive looking and our room was a good size. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. A free subtitle bus to the centre was great as it was pouring down- free pick ups too!
Staff were excellent, room clean and tidy, breakfast was great.
On arrival the receptionist was engaging and helpful, providing a map of city and a printed list of nearby restaurants. The hotel provides a shuttle sevice into town. It was pouring with rain and the driver was kind enough to drop us to and then collect us from our chosen restaurant. The room was large and comfortable with a great view of the cathedral across the river. Although we had checked out we were allowed to leave the car in the car park for the day so we could walk into town to visit the attractions. Great service all round.
It was a beautiful setting and well furnished. It was comfy and decorated to a high standard.
A few little changes to the room would have made it perfect - hooks to hang coats as u go in and a shelf in the bathroom would have really been useful
The property was lovely, with a beautiful location and incredible views. The surroundings were peaceful and made the stay very enjoyable. The staff were polite and incredibly accommodating.
There was a large amount of damp on the windows which left the window sill soaking, and there was visible mould surrounding the area. I was also disappointed to receive two single beds instead of a double. Additionally, there were some black/brown marks on the mattress sheets.
Very friendly welcome from reception staff. Lovely spacious clean comfortable room with river view (had an upgrade). Free shuttle into town which was handy due to heavy rain.
Noise from adjoinining rooms. You can hear people talking.
