Pros +
- All staff are very professional and can not do enough for you. Food was the best food we have had in any hotel before, superb in selection, presentation and flavor, we stayed 4 nights and each meal was 10 out of 10 ..excellent. Car Park a big bonus
- The staff were so friendly & helpful. The rooms were spotless & very nicely decorated. The beds were really comfortable & had lovely bedding. All the soft furnishings were very tasteful giving an expensive impression. The breakfast was exceptional with an extensive menu. The poached eggs on my order were cooked to perfection.
- Staff friendly and approachable
Cons -
- Short on residents lounge, only 2 comfy sofas for families to get together but in main bar so not always available. Did notice a large room on top of stairs would be perfect for residents only but that's only criticism. Fabulous hotel.
- The lovely old fashioned sash window was a bit temperamental.
- No hairdryer in bedroom. Front door banged loudly.

Helpfulness of staff.Well appointed spacious room.Best hotel breakfast in many years
The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on, even better than my own t home and I don’t scrimp on beds and bedding.
Management was a bit distant and preoccupied but staff were lovely
The location was perfect, the member of staff was very professional and welcoming on arrival.
The room needed a little bit of TLC (new blinds and windows that stayed open by themselves)A little book of local things to do and perhaps a menu in the roomsThe evening staff were rude and looked like the dint want to be there
Decor great and so tidy
Towel in bathroom past its best. Hole and edges all frayed
Booked high tea for myself and guest it was really good.Again booked evening meal for myself and guest food and service was excellent.Thank you.
Everything was fine
A great find, fab location for The LakesStaff were so friendly & couldn't do enough to make your stay greatThe food was the best we've tasted for a long time def recommend staying here
Staff , location ,choice of beers and great food
Some of the areas need a little TLC.eg blinds and loose moving chairs that need attention in dining areas
Can’t rate this hotel enough. From start to finish our stay was amazing! The staff are lovely, great location, the room was so nice and so was the food. We will definitely be staying again
The room was lovely and clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Average.
Lots of empty rooms and put on top floor with no lift. Restaurant had slow and limited service in the evening after a busy lunch time!Breakfast service excellent.
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Our evening meal was tasty, good quality and value for money. Our room was clean and comfortable, had loads of character, and the wet room was excellent. The breakfast that we ate in the morning was to a high standard, quality ingredients and cooked really well. All the staff were fabulous, especially Wendy who made sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble.
I have no complaints whatsoever. A lovely property, with friendly, helpful staff.
Comfy room and delicious breakfast
Everything seemed to be a bit of an effort for one member of staff on duty so we weren’t made to feel very welcome
Well located for the sea front, great food, a warm welcome and cosy rooms
Some noise in the evenings but it is a pub so only to be expected
The Morecambe Hotel is exceptional in every way. The location, back 100yrds from the sea front protects it from the weather nicely, and the car park is very good. I stay here whenever I am passing Morecambe on the M6 on my way to Scotland. The staff are attentive and courteous, the menu is just what I need after a day in the car, good beer, huge sheltered beer garden and such an historic building :)
nothing. It's everything I could hope for, I only wish that I could stay longer! :)
The very friendly, warm welcome, cosy room and excellent food and service.
Nothing Thank you for a lovely overnight stay.
Clean friendly good breakfast and evening meals with a good selection
The food is always wonderful here, the rooms are nice and the staff are friendly
