- Friendly. Staff Clean And good food
Cons -
- The room was like something from the 40s, the shower mixer at tap level was split so hot water never reached the shower head it just spirted all over the bathroom, the bed was like a jelly so soft and bouncy, the windows were difficult to open and close, the upholstery on the chairs in the bar area were degraded and looked dirty. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. We booked two nights but only stayed one, the manager did offer us a room change but we refused as we couldn’t imagine it would be any better. The manager was pleasant and the staff too so the above is not a reflection on them.
- Poor heating during quite a cold spell
- Most of it! Unfriendly welcome with most interaction being focused on the regular drinkers in the shabby bar! Room was old tired dirty and basic..also freezing cold with a small electric heater that wasn't switched on at arrival and hardly did anything anyway!

Friendly. Staff Clean And good food
.In many ways I enjoyed an excellent stay, very nice room, comfortable bed but poor heating the single radiator was enclosed in a very ornate casing that prevented heat radiating into the room. The staff were extremely kind and helpful.
Poor heating during quite a cold spell
Not much!! One of the worst ive stayed in!

Pleasant
The rooms were freezing cold, radiators that don't work, so cold even the bedding felt damp
Lovely staff, Excellent breakfast, food cleaner my of room
Tv didn’t work, no WiFi in room, shower could have been hotter
The locationn
No security on pub door bed uncomfortable
Clean comfortable bed friendly staff very good breakfast
Bit noisy at night from the local bar
Location excellent.the bar and restaurant was good.
Blocked sink took ages to drain away.
The staff were great, friendly.
Overpriced for what it was, rooms grubby, out dated and to be honest just down right grimm!! Almost, left to find a premier inn. Don't necessarily expect a view but it was better too shut the curtains...instantly 100% better the the unkempt, dirty outside. Exterior could do with a lick of paint to show some care, looks uninviting from the outside.
It's in a great position close to shops, bars, cafes and the sea front. Staff where helpful and friendly.
The rooms are very tired and dated, nothing matches with some areas more in need than others. The shower didn't get warm let alone hot...and whilst on the subject of the bathroom (more of a corridor that had a toilet, sink and shower cubicle in it). Very retro, sporting pink and blue suite and a dirty light pully. However i did sleep well, which may have had more to do with the red wine i drank rather than the comfort of the bed!
Great location, clean, friendly staff. Incredible value. Nice bar.
Well situated on the high street, clean and spacious room, staff were spot on, no faults at all.
Breakfast although quite late was excellent hot and fresh
Very dated although original features are nice the outside areas need lots of work
The hotel is well located I have stayed there a few times. It is value for money and good staff
The breakfast time was 8am with i found a little bit early if you wanted a lie in The food was very good
hotel was ok, breakfast very poor, and my room was freezing, no heat on in my room, although i asked them hours earlier, but when i got in at night the room was freezing, i was cold all night in bed.
breakfast could of been a lot better and some heat in my room.
Great staff room smelled and was clean. Venue dated.
Breakfast cold not massive choice very basic quality. Expensive for the experience we had.
The look of the place and friendliness of the staff. The entertainment at night was great surprise as being a small hotel we didn’t expect it..
There was nothing we didn’t like at all!
