- Our room was amazing the view was spectacular paid more for this suite and was well worth it .
- Wonderful Location. Pet friendly. Reasonable meal prices.
Cons -
- Being checked in by bar staff really doesn’t work . Also very ineffectual manager .Staff are untrained and manager seems to have a “ don’t care attitude “ .
- The fact the hotel had a offer on for a free meal included but this offer was not included if booked via booking .com . And this was NOT STATES ON THE BOOKING. Very unfair and only found out as we had to phone the hotel for another reason.
- A few noisy pipes at night.

Wonderful Location. Pet friendly. Reasonable meal prices.
A few noisy pipes at night.
All of it...
Carpet under dressing table was torn and looked messy was a balcony delux room for 135.00 just thought carpet would be ok..
The location was ideal for a stay in Morecambe. Very good breakfast and some good evening meals. The staff were excellent. Parking was very good. Lift and ramps made all areas accessible. The promenade etc are all flat and again very accessible.
The patio doors to our balcony had a faulty latch. I got it open but I should have reported it but didn't.
Location superb.Lovely room overlooking the sea.
Breakfast on the Sunday was a shambles. No cereal bowls, teaspoons, coffee. We're waited 40 minutes for them to take our order and only then because we flagged somebody down. Took asking 3 times for the coffee pots to be filled. They were woefully understaffed. Took 1.5 hpurs to get our breakfast and leave. The second morning (Monday) was better asthere were more staff.Room (206) was very warm. Couldn't turn the radiator off in the bathroom. Slept with window open (in February).
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The room was large with big windows and a sea view balcony. The bed was very comfortable and tea and coffee was plentiful. It has been very glamorous in its heyday. Plenty of walking from the doorstep and good value for money
The outside needs a lick of paint so a better first impression is created. The reception has been moved to the bar area so on arrival we stood at least five minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement from the many staff who were busy in the bar. The first morning we were not asked if we wanted a hot breakfast. Bar staff were not really aware of the drinks menu. The mostly young staff were very friendly but did not seem well trained in customer care. The young woman in reception as we left today 10th February was very good both her manner at breakfast and when we checked out were excellent. We had no hot water in the shower and the location of the loo was intriguing. We did enjoy our stay but there is a definite sense of lower standards. The wallpaper was starting to peel away in our room and just requires a simple bit of maintenance. We had hoped for more from the menu but it was pub food.
Location and rooms were fantastic, can't complain
Breakfast was a let down. Milk was only full cream, no alternatives like almond, soya or semi skimmed. Full English presentation on the plate was poor, just like another cafe, not a 4 star .Atleast have selection of vegetables, like cucumber, lettuce and tomato for extra selection
The room was so big and very comfortable
Was a bit cold around the bar/ reception
Location & viewDecor and layout
Staff seemed distant and preoccupied with tasks other than the customer!!
Amazing building and room
Annoying barking dog in the bar.A number of well behaved dogs were at the hotel but barking dogs were the only downside
Amazing sea views, location close to promenade and pier, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast well cooked with plenty of choice, easy parking, dog friendly.
Junior suite not as described on booking.com - no separate bedroom, very large cracks down 3 of the windows held together with cellotape therefore security compromised, wooden planks on terrace rotten and uneven, smell from kitchen wafted up to bedroom doors.
The feature room was amazing. Fantastic views.
The food was fairly poor. The staff were lovely but seemed to lack guidance from someone in charge. Reception was crammed in at the end of the bar. Restaurant very cold.
Wonderful iconic hotel. Excellent staff. Great value for money
A little bit cold in the lounge
Loved the sea view room. Spacious and comfortable. Food was good.
if anything the bedroom room lighting could be improved upon. The lighting all worked fine just needs updating particularly if you wanted to read in bed.
Breakfast was good, staff we friendly, had an evening meal on the Friday,I had the blade steak and all I can say is it was the best meal I have ever had.
Can’t think of anything
The hotel itself is a design marvel, the view from the hotel suite was great and the ease of access and parking. Every member of staff were friendly and helpful.
You can tell since the new owenership that they have undertaken cost cutting exercises. The hotel is begiinng to look jaded, the restarant furniture is old and full of stains. It needs a total refresh. The food is very poor for a four star hotel. The breakfast ingredients were poor quality, the coffee and juices at the buffet were equally poor. For the prices they are asking for bed and breakfast you expect better all round.
Staff were great
Room was very dated , windows were covered in mould , wallpaper hanging off, paintwork was flakey
Room was spacious, food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. Hotel has a touch of class. Staff helpful and friendly
Not the hotels fault but a dog owner left their dogs 'business' on the stairs! Hotle staff dealt with it quickly
Sea front location with amazing views. Room good could do with updating. Staff friendly and efficient
Quality of food mediocre and lacking in flair. My wife ordered a Thai chicken curry and was served cubes of chicken in a red sauce, not good. Drinks exspensive.
