    Pros +

    • Friendly staff. nice place to drink with friends in the evening.
    • Breakfast box, was well thought out and generous. Quiet even on the weekend. People weren't noisy or out late despite it being the Light up Lancaster weekend.
    • The staff were lovely and so helpful. The hotel setting was very nice and the hotel and bar areas were clean. There is a nice outdoor seating area out back and the location was great in the centre of Lancaster. Location is a walks distance from a lot of places to eat, drink and visit. A small breakfast hamper was provided since the hotel did not serve food which was really appreciated.

    Cons -

    • Cleaning did not include fresh towels. No AC. No receptionist 24hrs. Food service was limited at best.
    • Room itself could have been a titch bigger. Bathroom was nice We had a plumbing problem in shower and they attended to it immediately, We felt the price was higher than we expected for off season away from the big cities
    • Only to be picky, the bathroom lighting is very yellow, quite an old feel to it. The water took 5 minutes to get hot for the shower the first time I tried and there is no food served at the hotel however the location is good enough, there are so many places close by to eat at.

Another nice night in our go to hotel in Lancaster. Try to book a room in the stable section.

Easy to find, clean enough. Inadequate lighting in the room, literally darkness at the dressing table. Bathroom was lovely.

    8JanetPosted on: 4-11-2025

Very nice welcome on arrival. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Although no breakfast in with the price, a welcome basket with drink and porridge was provided Will stay here again

Was made to feel welcome from the very second we walked into building and was welcomed by a lovely staff member (Olivia I think ?) who was warm friendly and really went out her way to show us around and recommend places to go. Room was really clean and nice maybe a bit small but nothing to complain abt.

I really haven’t got a bad word to say abt the place so much we stayed an extra day

    Clean comfortable room

Not having any restaurant is a bit of a pain

The room had a nice cosy look and the basket with oats and juice for breakfast (since the hotel didn’t offer breakfast) was a nice touch.

The WiFi did not work. The network kept disappearing and it was impossible to login. My guess is that the router is in the bar and does not reach the room in the ground floor.I was there in February and while the bathroom was spacious and clean, it was also freezing cold. There was only a heater for the towels that took ages to heat up.The room was also poorly soundproofed. If someone was above, one could hear every single step.

Great location in the city center. The room is small but comfortable and warm, and is cleaned every day. Breakfast is minimal but tasty. Excellent choice, good price/quality balance.
