Located opposite the Kings Dock, Village Hotel Swansea is just a 5-minute drive from Swansea’s city center. A heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room feature in the hotel’s health club. - Clean and perfect location
- Close to activities, comfortable and good size room. Staff were brilliant with my son and made us feel welcome. Room service was quick and piping hot, free parking on the weekends was a bonus! The Village news was a nice touch with the hotel info, free WiFi. Central booking were brilliant in adding my son on last minute
- staff at breakfast were brilliant
Cons -
- Room was very warm even with air con on ( very loud fan) had window open during the day but couldnt keep it open in evening as noise from bar users outside was excessive. No phone in room to contact reception only a QR code to scan and talk to a bot No glass/cup in bathroom. Will be more selective on my choice of dates next time as rugby was on and other residents were talking loudly outside our room and shouting and doors being knocked into early hours of the morning so sleep was hard to come by.
- My room had a light shining under the door all night so this kept me awake had to pay extra for the gym which was difficult as i have a budget of 150 per night with work. I have previously booked the village and had club room for under 150 which is why I booked this again. I don't think I will be staying with the village moving forward for work purposes as i travel to Swansea at least once a month and need to have leisure facilities within budget the food was absolutely terrible - the worse steak I have ever eaten. I did think they may have given me a pork chop in error it was terrible. but the waitress was so lovely
