- Location
- The location is great, very central and close to markets and many water taxis. The view from the room, along with room size and AC.
Cons -
- The restaurant and hotel were closed for our stay. There was no communication that it was closed and if we had any issues we had to call a number. They said they were closed because of the protests but we heard from others they have been for quite some time. Had we known this we would not have stayed here.
- We left a day earlier than we paid just because we couldnt shower. Traveler beware: No water or intermittent water the entire four days stay. Initially booked a single night but decided to go ahead and stay four wished we knew the water problems before we paid! Throughout all evenings and mornings there was no water so this means no way of flushing toilet and no shower. They would say this was because of the island and not their fault but no other hotels had such problems. The reception desk is usually unattended. Often with a sign that they are out to lunch but the lunch hour must be very long! Everytime we needed reception we had to wait or the ice cream lady next door would have to track them down. We tried to notify management, ask for a refund to leave early, ask for a discount because of the water situation , and they wouldnt provide anything and said they were working as hard as they could to fix it. They could have at least offered us free breakfast which wasnt included but didnt even offer that. Pillows were very old and blankets were random collection of difference sizes. Restaurant quesadilla was ok but dont go for the burger which was extremely over cooked. WiFi is extremely slow. If you dont need need water to shower, dont care to flush toilet, and dont care about fast WiFi this could be your place!
