I loved our garden room. We were very comfortable, but the best part was the staff. They were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was marvelous, and the owner was so sweet and gentle. Loved our experience. Would go back there when we return to CR.

Friendly, attentive, and informative staff. Delicious, fresh breakfast. Accommodating (e.g. served earlier full breakfast than scheduled time due to early tour). Modern room (just opened September 2014). Walking distance to town.
Very steep climb on return to hotel from town. Tiny bathroom sink. No room heat or A/C although apparently typical of Monteverde lodging given the climate. Entrance is a large sliding door facing the front but sufficient curtains for privacy.
