    Pros +

    • Modern elegance at its finest. Perfect location for the old town, with easy access to the new. Breakfast was complete with buffet, omelette station, and full service menu. Staff throughout all levels were professional, helpful, and friendly.
    • This hotel is a true gem! The staff are absolutely wonderful – not only welcoming and attentive, but also genuinely interesting and caring people. The location is fantastic, close to everything you’d want to explore. Inside, the hotel radiates warmth and a sense of premium comfort – every detail feels thoughtfully designed. It’s cozy, elegant, and impeccably maintained. A truly remarkable place that I would gladly return to without hesitation. Highly recommended!
    • A spacious and clean room, great SPA, nice bar on the 8th floor.

    Cons -

    • The dryer had broken door lock, which made it absolutely useless. I reported it and no one came to fix it. The room didn't have a single USB port of any kind. One night I returned to the hotel half past midnight and sat in the lobby, one of concierges came to me and said: "If you are not staying at this hotel you need to leave" I showed her my room key to which she responded: "OK, many homeless are trying to get into the building" ,which meant that she took me for one of them without any apology after I showed my key. I was appaled by her attitude and lack of basic customer service skills - how did she get a job at the 5 star hotel??
    • The breakfast was slow and if you ordered outside of the buffet it took forever to get served.
    • it would be great to have tooth brushes in the room :)

What’s not to love - impeccable service, luxury touches such as heated floors in the bathroom. Great location with a wonderful Italian restaurant around the corner - I loved my stay at the Hotel Kempinski - just loved it.

Hair dryer is a little hard to use as you have to squeeze the handle to get it to work and stay in - difficult to use.

I was truly impressed with Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga. The rooms were beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable – especially the beds, which were simply amazing! I also loved the spa zone – peaceful, elegant, and perfect for relaxation. The overall atmosphere, service, and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. I would definitely love to return. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel, best location you could wish for, great service, immaculate and stylish rooms. Amazing view from Opera room to the Riga skyline and park. Special thank you to Tatjana for a very professional massage what helped me out of very bad back pain.

    Breakfast, spa, location, service

Hotel parking with 40 euro is too expensive

    Awesome location

I didn’t add breakfast to our stay since we had a tour one am. Breakfast Would have been 50.00 for both of us per night if added during booking, since we didn’t, we ended up paying 80.00 for us both. Would have been nice to know how expensive breakfast was, I assure you it’s not worth 40.00 per person. Also, we went to their spa to relax, however, they were holding a water aerobics session with very loud music at 10:30am, VERY disappointed Small room, pay more for bigger one

The experience was pure delight. The whole spectrum: from reservation to check-out, it was magnificent. Pleasant interaction, care, everything happening smoothly—flowers and luggage magically appear in the room. With complimentary brut. Perfect.Inside, everything is very stylish and fascinating to look at; the room on the seventh floor was wonderful. And the creative lighting—so playful. Oh yes, and the bathroom (for two) is quite cozy. A marvelous SPA and friendly staff.Everything is top-notch. Highly recommend!

Everything. The room was beautiful and spacious, the bed was large and very comfortable with excellent quality bed linen. The bathroom was large with both a shower and bath. The entire property was decorated beautifully and was immaculately clean. The staff were attentive, polite and helpful. The buttons in the room for the various light modes as well as the ‘do not disturb’ and ‘make up my room’ options were a really great modern touch in an otherwise art deco themed, grand hotel. The location was amazing. Most attractions, bar and restaurants are within 5 mins walk. The evening service was a lovely touch where the house keeping staff would come to your room at about 6-7pm to ready your room for the evening - essentially tidy up again and replace used towels etc, so you are getting your room made up twice a day so if you wanted to stay in the room all day (you might, considering how beautiful it is!), the bed and room will be tidied up again for the evening so no need to worry if you messed the bed up! They also put your slippers on a sheet of silk on the floor next to the bed for you to stand on before getting into the bed which is a lovely little touch. As well as this, they will top up your bed side water and leave you an inspirational quote on your bed side table. Another lovely simple touch that goes a long way. The spa was luxurious and the treatment I had (80 minute bespoke massage) was great with some different touches I hadn’t experience before which made it very memorable for my birthday! At breakfast they had alcoholic and non-alcoholic champagne. The hotel restaurant - Stage 22 is super modern and trendy and beautiful. The food is great and the cocktail selection is large and contains a number of non-alcoholic options which were great.

A couple of very small improvements - breakfast selection could be amended slightly daily to make it more interesting, otherwise the breakfast was amazing. The breakfast room itself was beautiful as is all of the hotel. The relaxation room in the spa could be slightly darker, larger and more relaxing. The restaurant - Stage 22 is slightly overpriced for the side of the main dishes but the starters were about right. For my birthday I received a small cake and some macrons, fruit and a card but I feel like it would have been nice to receive maybe one more gift. I appreciate that they may not have given me champagne had they been aware that I was pregnant but I would have still appreciated a bottle to take home to drink after my pregnancy.

Fine breakfast, friendly staff, good SPA

    Avoid it !

The hotel was disappointing, with cold and unwelcoming staff. There was no housekeeping service during the Christmas holidays for several days, and the safety rules were inconsistent, making tasks like deliveries unnecessarily complicated. Given the poor room service, communication was also a challenge, as no one spoke French, and some staff members had very limited English skills. This level of service is unacceptable for a five-star hotel, and the attitude of some staff was even borderline aggressive at times. I do not recommend this hotel at all, especially considering the high price point—you can find much better options elsewhere. Avoid it.

    They didn’t met my expectations

I was so disappointed that spa area didn’t work. I have specially booked this place because of Swimmingpool area. Also, did not see a different between luks and de luks

Great room and amazing, well-maintained facilities. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. Location is perfect within Old Town Riga. Five star service all the time!

Nothing. It lives up to 5-star standards.
