    Pros +

    • Very comfortable.
    • We were surprised with free few bottles of syrups for coffee, very friendly staff and home made mushroom soup served by staff member.Next time in Riga we will be happy to stay again at this place.
    • I liked the private bedroom for 2 people. Free tea, coffee and fruit.

    Cons -

    • The bathroom floor showed water damage which was not an issue now but can be an issue for later visitors
    • The hostel in the whole building, several stores, so for someone it can be too crowded. I felt nice and had my rest and silence at my room.
    • The shower in my section was under renovation so I had to go to one down the hall which was inconvenient but okay.

It's cheap, but more comfortable than I expected, also very stylish in design. The stuff was very careful and helpful. There coffee, tea and fruits for free, which is nice. The location was very convenient for me.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was coffee, tea, and fruits in the common area which was really nice as well. The staff were very friendly. Each person gets an individual key code for the room so there was no need to drop of keys at checkout. The female dorm room was spacious and one day I had the whole room to myself.

The shower in my section was under renovation so I had to go to one down the hall which was inconvenient but okay.

Location is good, safe area. Nice staff.

No elevator! If you have a big suitcase it can be a problem.Very thin walls, I could hear absolutely everything.

    9EszterPosted on: 10-3-2025

Exceptionally friendly staff. The other guests were nice and tidy.

The wifi didn't work in our room and some of the bathrooms were under renovation, however the wifi worked in the lounge and other bathrooms were closeby.

Beautiful place, great chilling area inside and outside, space for tea or coffee for free and big bathrooms

No female only rooms, would be nice to have female only rooms at the same cheap price as “male only rooms”

Availability of reception staff. Although pricey, the laundry service was excellent. Loved the free tea, coffee and fruit, but if you don't like black coffee, the lack of creamer was too often a problem.Room and bed were generally comfortable.

Everything looked clean but I'm not confident about the attention to detail - there was a towel under my bed that was there throughout my stay. My bedding was still damp upon arrival. No one answered the door or phone for a while after I arrived, plus my room wasn't ready despite arriving around 40 minutes after check-in time.Again relevant to attention-to-detail: My bottom bunk was dark all the time so it would have been nice to have had a reading lamp (like the bunk above me had). No storage space next to my bed until I swapped the lockers and shelving unit (the former had a sloping surface so the person on the top bunk really had trouble putting anything down).

The staff(receptionist) was very helpful and answered every question that i had.The hostel had a room to keep your bags for all day after you check out, the check in took like 2 minutes. The hostel was in a decent location. They offer even a towel wich is not usual for every hsotel. For the value it was okay you dont except more for 15 euros

The bathroom's werent clean, the rooms could be cleaner, 20-30 minutes walking to the old town

Amazing staff. They show everything around the building and give tips on what to do in Riga. Shower is fair for the price. They offer tea for free.Everything is clean. The bathroom even smells good, which is a miracle for hostels.

The room was a bit small for 6 people. It's quite far from the center.

This is a fun hostel in Winter when everything closes in Old Town. There is a yard out back where you can smoke. It's an easy walk from the bus/train station. There are close options for groceries and quick shopping. It's a good value.

Lots of local travelers here taking advantage of the cheap beds, so staying in an Old Town hostel is a better option for backpackers. Most Latvian people are not friendly. It is what it is.

    8LauraPosted on: 6-8-2025

Nice hostel. They have free coffee and oranges (not really a breakfast, but good to have those).

They could clean the bathroom more often. But the rooms were clean.

Everything was superb! Excellent staff, new hostel, beuatiful interior, extra clean, comfy bed, free fruit, tea, coffee for breakfast... One of the best hostels I stayed at!

a very cozy and clean hostel. The staff is well coming, beds and confortable and stable wifi. Good hot shower. There's free coffee, tea and fruits all day long. Not far from city center

    10ViktorijaPosted on: 5-29-2025

I only stayed for one night, but will definitely come back for longer stays! Staff was attentive, informative and friendly, the place is huuuge, but all seemed clean and safe. I love the part of the city too! Comfy bed!

    7InesePosted on: 5-25-2025

Good location, mostly quiet, access to kitchen, good value for money

Was very loud over weekend, many noisy people in the corridor and outside

    9JaugaitėPosted on: 5-23-2025

Very friendly staff, good location, private parking for extra cost.

Shower was not very clean and really bad sound insulation so we could hear our neighbours walking around all night long.

I liked nothing here, terrible place.

Very rude personnel,/manager, stopped understanding english (ok, she didn't understand much anyways cos she speaks pretty much only russian) as soon as i mentioned her about the snorer that i spotted in the same room where i was booked.I wanted to cancel my reservation but got no help or offer for a refund so i had to stay in the same room as the snorer who was terrorizing the whole room with his all night lasting loud snoring. In a good hostel the staff would do something about such problems just as well as they should do with any other major problems that are seriously disturbing other guests' sleep (such as loud noise, bad smells, aggressive behaviour etc.).But unfortunately too many places (such as this one) dont do anything about these snorers, even when made a complaint.
