    Pros +

    • The room was excellent; the access to platforms like NetFlix was welcomed after a long day exploring. The staff were very helpful.
    • This beautiful and stylish hotel in the heart of Old Town Riga is a true gem, with all the area’s historic sights right outside the door. There is so much to love about this property. Our two-room apartment was exceptionally spacious, comfortable, and wonderfully quiet—we didn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms or the street. The bathroom was large and well stocked with quality amenities, including shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen and living area were also very generous in size. Although we didn’t use the kitchen, it appeared well equipped with a sink, small refrigerator, stove, and microwave. We especially appreciated the self-service laundry facilities located in the basement, which include two washing machines and one dryer. Washing costs €5, the dryer is free, and detergent is provided; the hotel supplies tokens for the machines. Parking is available in a small lot directly behind the hotel, but spaces are limited, so it’s best to reserve in advance, as parking in Old Town is very restricted.
    • room, facilities, spa, service, breakfast - everything was exceptional!

    Cons -

    • We wished the spa had been open while we were there, although understand the holiday period is a difficult time to staff. The reception was helpful to try and provide an alternative. Their assistance was appreciated.
    • We dined at the Michelin Guide–recommended restaurant, which also serves as the breakfast venue. While the meal was enjoyable, it felt somewhat underwhelming, with a limited selection of entrées. The breakfast buffet, priced at €20, offered a decent variety of options but was similarly unremarkable. The staff were pleasant, though not particularly attentive. We rarely saw anyone at the front desk and had to wait about 10 minutes during check-in for someone to appear.
    • Heating weak. Living area pretty uncomfortable. Harsh lighting. Stiff backed furniture. Choppy levels of floors throughout lobby area.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. There was free champagne with breakfast on the weekends. It was very close to the Christmas markets and in the center of Old town with many things to do around it

Location but only until weekend. Lots of bars with loud drunks.

Heating weak. Living area pretty uncomfortable. Harsh lighting. Stiff backed furniture. Choppy levels of floors throughout lobby area.

Location was incredible, hotel is beautiful,, hotel desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinners in the restaurant were delicious. Big plus regarding self service laundry!!!!

Room was a bit cold so thank you to the late night desk staff for being so quick to provide the heater. Most staff members were amazing but dinner staff seemed a bit aloof at first. But came through with the last night expresso martinis !!

Staff was wonderful and the breakfast buffet was great. Lots of options, even for my celiac husband who needs gluten free meals!

The location was fantastic and again, the staff was amazing!?

    9SusanPosted on: 6-6-2025

Very comfortable room and excellent restaurant. Fantastic location to explore the old town and surrounding area. The market was wonderful.

Never any front desk staff on in the evening if we had a question.

    9JudithPosted on: 5-24-2025

The breakfast was excellent. There were many options. It was the best breakfast we had the entire trip. The hotel was centrally located in the old city. It was within walking distance to the main sites. The floors in the bathroom were heated which was a nice treat. This hotel is fantastic and a reasonable price as well.

The only issue we had is there were pigeons that hung out on our window sill that were loud. I know that sounds ridiculous but it's true.
