Pros +
- Clean, close to centre, friendly staff, has everything you need to spend a weekend
- Breakfast is excellent; rooms and furnishings are basic.
- Location in a great area; Art Nouveau district, great restaurants, great parks
Cons -
- Mattress is very hard, which is not my preference.
- May be Wi-Fi connection can be improved a little bit. And, even everything in the room was absolutely clear and the with fresh odor, it would be better if the floor coverage is not so old.
- Really nothing

Small, but really enough breakfast, very delicious, amazing coffee, provided by so shiny personnel!

Great location. Really nice rooms. Good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant buffet breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend staying at the Hotel Edvards.
Friendly staff, this was really the plus and something didn't happen to me in long time. Good value for money , location, breakfast. Should I visit Riga again it will be my choice
Really nothing
It is a nice hotel in the broader centre of Riga, but still a few minutes from the Vecriga. A good ratio of price to value.
Nice and clean small hotel for budget travelers
Very good breakfast, good location with bus stops nearby, friendly staff and good value for money
Rooms need renovation
Modest, well located, comfortable and very competitively priced.
-The location-The staff are helpful and kind-The breakfast is decent with a good number of options
- The room facilities are quite basic
Location
The room is very small. Does not match the description. No air conditioning. No kettle.
Very nice location, very cozy building and very nice staff.
Breakfast could be improved.
The staff was really friendly. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, the room clean and the location was great.
There was no air-conditioning and the room was very hot. The table fan did help a little, as did the option of opening windows during the night. Even though the room was very clean, there was a slightly moldy smell in the shower cubicle and sink. I think they need to be deep cleaned. The pillows were also really high so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on them, but that's a personal preference. The breakfast area was small and wasps were coming in from the open window, attracted to the sweet foods on offer. I did notice that wasps were everywhere in the city, though, which is why I prefer to eat indoors.
Hotel is in a good location, in walking distance to oldtown. Staff is nice, big room with fridge, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Good place to stay if you come to Riga without a car.
The only thing that deeply disappointed is hotel's car parking policy. If you travel with a car and want to spend more days in Riga, this hotel might throw you in trouble. Sure, most of hotels in central Riga don't have big parking space. Hotel Edvards doesn't have either. However hotel mentions it offers parking for visitors. I marked during the booking I need a parking and received confirmation I'll get one. Check in starts at 15:00. I arrived at 15:30 and saw three empty parking spaces next to the entrance. However at the reception I was told all the spots are occupied! "There are some other guests who came earlier. Now they a gone. But later they will come back and hotel is holding the spots for them", reception explained. So why does the hotel is holding the spots for other visitors all day long? Are they charging for this, but not mentioning it during booking process? I was advised to leave my car in public parking. I was staying only one night. Public parking cost me additional 19 EUR and trouble. If I knew this in advance, I would have chosen another hotel maybe with higher cost of 19 EUR just to have car next to me.
It’s a hidden tres or in the neighbourhood of Art Deco buildings offering the best location for visiting all the town without any need of car.The stuff always kind and helpful made me feel at home ! and very welcomed Breakfast was wonderful The internal yard is a plus Full of flowers and quiet corners where you can enjoy coffee or beverages any time of the day and night Definitely recommended I regret I found it the last days of my staying in Riga Thanks a lot ???
This a comfortable family run hotel set behind buildings directly on the street with an area in between for parking a car by arrangement. It has a modern lift. The premises are nicely cared for. The staff are great as is the breakfast. Our room (305) was not large but adequate. Although no air-conditioning the fan was helpful given the temperature during our stay. The room was quiet. It is well located to attractions.
A proper blockout blind or curtains for the window would have been good.In common with many hotels in the Baltics the availability of TV channels in English is very limited or non-existent.
Friendly staff
The main (big one) mattress had some large spots. On top of that there was the thin mattress and the bed linen
I recommend it to everyone! Fantastic and friendly staff, wonderful and beautiful place, cozy environment, clear rooms, parking space, delicious breakfast! Thank you, we will definitely visit again! ❤️
near old center - very friendly staff - very good breakfast - clean rooms - safe parking for the motorbikes
