Asahikan

I always love the breakfast at the Asahikan. It might be not be a suitable hotel for some, but I find it to be convenient, quiet, and easy to deal with. Also, the parking is free and easy.

It's a bit outdated.

Staff is courteous and property has its own parking facility for guests.

I really don't know what it requires (capital) to upgrade the entire facility (smart cards for door locks, auto perfumes in corridors,nice floormat in the walkways all floors,bath towels in rooms , good sturdy king size cot and a good mattress etc etc) they have to really revamp the infrastructure to stay in the competitive business. I believe hotel has some good history since I saw some VIP photos (VIPs visiting them) in the reception. Please give it as feedback for improvement not as compliant.

I booked a smoking room by mistake. Reception staff was able to switch me to a smoking room that did not smell too bad. Breakfast was nice. They permitted baggage storage on day of departure.

My window was near train tracks which are very loud

The breakfast was simple, but very tasty. The staff was friendly and made an effort to give us a good room.

Everything is a little old and our room might have been dusty, so it triggered my allergies.

I had a room to myself at least.

Night staff wasn't particularly friendly and despite having applied in advance for free parking I was told that they never received the request. This could be the fault of booking.com but even so the uncle at the desk was pretty blunt about it. Luckily there was one parking spot remaining which I managed to use but I was told that if I chose to go for a drive they would not reserve the space for me. Bizarre. Room stunk of tobacco and the rooms are right next to a train line. It was fine for a one night stay but can't recommend even for the price.

Nice breakfast, very close to the Kofo rail station, No English speaker, so it's better to get translation software with you.

front stuff is not kind for everyone.minimum functionality to stay for a few days.

i miss my last train and ended up in Kofu. i booked a room online around 11:00 pm and my train was to arrive at the destination at 0:35… A staff member kindly called me to ensure that the front desk is open 24 hours so i don’t have to worry. Very kind!

The facility is old. the building smelled strange… but with this price, i would complain

The name on this hotel is Kofu Prince Hotel, then the Kanji characters for asahikan. Because you (booking.com) call it a Asahikan made it very difficult to find the hotel. Please use the correct name in the future.

the staff were all friendly, hotel was close to the station, the value was perfect. the hotel is well loved.

it did smell strongly of cigarettes but that’s to be expected since my room was a “smoking allowed room” it didn’t bother me too much after I opened the window and aired out.

They change the hotel room clothes and clean the room everyday.

I don’t like the breakfast style. So simple and not satisfied for Japanese style breakfast.

too noisy to sleep! A rail road near this hotel makes a disastrous sound. Moreover, some buzzing sound from the ventilator on the bathroom annoyed me. those sound forced me to stay awake during the night.

Exactly what I look for in a budget hotel. A bit outdated interior and worn for sure, but clean and even has a free, filling Japanese breakfast. Great location, and the staff were so friendly.

There are smoking rooms so expect the scent of tobacco from the corridors
