    • Not returning here
    • good location, lots of good places to visit in the area
    • great breakfast and very nice lounge with beer , wine and snacks.onsen is very big and relaxing

    Cons -

    • From shockingly outdated rooms to terribly mismanaged buffet to needing more than 45min to complete check-in (I’ll-mannered & unprofessional staff), it was by far the worst of all of my Accor stays.
    • the air conditioner made noises throughout the night. couldn't sleep well. had to change rooms twice
    • Japanese room’s futon is too thin and wake up with back pain. Also check in takes 1-1.5hours especially on the weekend. If you want to book a table for Dinner and breakfast took also 1-1.5hours of wait. If you have small children that can be pretty challenging. In my case, the staff stuffed up allocating my room after long wait of check in which was pretty disappointing. Staff haven’t been trained to deal with large number of weekend bookings after renewed the hotel. I strongly suggest staying during the week.

Kids playground facility was good for them to be entertained and burn some energy before while you are staying even before hit the road they can run around a bit which was good

    Children’s play area is fantastic!

Beds are very old and hard. Hotel seems very outdated

The buffet breakfast was great with lots of varieties.

Dated facility, very crowded with families with young children...this is not a relaxing stay at all. If you go, be prepared to line up for everything. The hot tubs were also full of people, and kids.

Beautiful Onsen spa !!! Comfortable room, view with mountains around

    ..Better choose the renovated rooms

    7LauraPosted on: 8-31-2024

Common areas are nice, the kids playroom is huge and even smells nice as most of it is wooden structures. Onsen was super nice.

They didn't mention you have to que to the breakfast with a waiting number you have to get from the restaurant and then wait 30-60minutes. I understand the need for the system but would be nice to know before to plan.We stayed in Japanese style futon room and it really is super outdated and smells not nice, "futons" are not comfortable.Moneywise it made sense.

    Onsen is lovely

Parking is always full, the lounge access feels over crowded and no attempt to manage the crowds. The hotel could possible put two or three lounges in different places to manage the feeling of large crowds..

    Breakfast, lounge service,onsen

It was like a kindergarten, full of kids which we weren't expecting. Not recommended staying over weekends that is including Sunday to Monday.

Beautiful setting. Wildly overpriced though and no coffee to be had if you need it in the morning like me.

Needs to have coffee in the rooms. Very simply to leave a couple of sachets. Reception told me I couldn’t have any! Then at breakfast there were loads of sachets. Ruined my experience. Considering this is double the price of similar hotels this was annoying.

The Onsen set up is lovely, the newly renovated rooms are very nice, the staff are extremely helpful, there is drinks and some snacks offered in lobby seating area before dinner and then at supper/9pm which we loved, you need a car if you want to explore the area which is really beautiful, we didn’t have breakfast or dinner as felt it was a bit pricey but it smelt and looked amazing instead we loved exploring small local country eat places ?

    Nothing really

    The onsen

The futons were very thin and hardThere were no vending machines, no room service, no bar or cafe, nowhere to eat other than the expensive restaurant which only offered a buffet. Although free drinks were offered there was limited choice and the bottles emptied quickly. They were served in paper cups which we find unacceptable for a Mercure hotel. Also it was half an hour from anywhere to find a restaurant

    Disappointing

Caters mainly for the domestic market, not for international tourists.
