Dormy Inn Kofu Natural Hot Spring Kaiji no Yu Reopening on February 3rd 2025

The Dormy Inn Kofu doesn't just take very good care of their guests, they spoil us! Free local grape juice in the lobby, and free ice cream at the onsen (probiotic drinks in the morning!). The amazing onsen, with indoor and outdoor pools and the hottest sauna I've ever enjoyed. There's even a manga lending library. How about a free bowl of delicious fresh ramen every night? The Dormy Inn's breakfast is outstanding, with a great selection of freshly prepared foods. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would always stay at the Dormy Inn Kofu again.

My room was private, had a good view from the window. The staff were friendly, and my room was serviced every day.

Because I have tattoos I couldn't use the ladies private spa.

Facilities was clean. The rooftop onsen was great.

Everything was great. Sauna might be a bit too hot.

The hot spring was excellent, clean water and well equipped. Also the breakfast was a wonderful, I had a well balanced meal.

The location was little sketchy for me so I didn’t go out at night.

I loved the free ramen, the free ice cream, and also the open air bath. The property was in a central place and the room was fantastic.

It was a little far from the station but everything else was amazing.

The room was impressively spacious and well-designed, offering far more comfort and layout efficiency compared to most typical hotel rooms in Japan.The rooftop onsen with a direct view of Mt. Fuji is simply breathtaking—an unforgettable highlight that adds tremendous value to the stay. Truly a must-experience for those seeking relaxation paired with iconic natural scenery.

Breakfast service ends rather early, which may not be ideal for guests who prefer to sleep in or enjoy a slow-paced morning.

1. The onsen is great. Big, clean and water was at a good temperature. 2. Buffet breakfast is very good if you like Japanese-style breakfasts.3. The standard room is well appointed despite its small size.

1. My room was not cleaned despite requesting for ‘make up room’.2. Had to rely entirely on google translate to communicate with the staff.

Room was too small. No place to open luggage. Could use another trash can. No place to hang your towels.

The onsen and sauna were easily accessible and clean. The breakfast buffet was above average for a business-like hotel offering both western and Japanese foods. Nice night view of the cityscape and Mt Fuji from the 9th floor.

Although only a 15-minute walk from Kofu Sation, the hotel was in inconveniently located away from the main street in a neighborhood which has seen better times. Since dinner was not offered at the hotel, the staff recommend one across the street. Not bad but it was too small, and the food would have tasted better if smoking was not allowed.

It is in a very nice neighborhood with many restaurants and bars. The Onsen is located on the 10th floor and offers a beautiful view of the mountains and Mt. Fuji. I was early and left the luggage at the reception, staff then already placed it in my room when I arrived. This is service is not very common these days and I appreciated it very much.

The onsen baths on the 10th floor were great. The hotel is rather close to the train station and there are a lot of restaurants and bars in the area

I might have been spoiled a bit in my recent trip in Japan, but I think the room could have been cleaner.

Room was clean and simple, I think the price is a bit too high for what you get, despite the good amenities. My shower wouldn’t turn on in the morning, no water came out, despite trying everything. I had a bus to catch so couldn’t wait for staff to help me fix it.

Breakfast is delicious. The spa service with ice bars is satisfying.

The temperature control of the shower in the room is not intuitive.

The rooftop onsen needs to be highlighted. Serene setting with a nice view, lots of amenities, free ice bars and massage chair - the onsen is on par with that of a ryokan. Twin room has a good size, double rooms are smaller but still decent. Kind and competent staff. Great breakfast, with many local options. Good free noodles for an evening snack. Overall, great value for money.

We loved the onsen facilities and the free ramen and ice blocks. The laundry facilities were also free.
