Alpenhotel Kitzbühel am Schwarzsee - 4 Sterne Superior

Wonderfull view, emazing breakfast and thank you, Haini, for your special care for us! We are here for seventh time and it’s really beautiful place/hotel. ♥️

Because of wedding no lunch or snack for other guests?!

Great rather new hotel - beautiful location at the lake, stunning architecture and design - if you like it, wonderfully spacious spa area, breakfast very good as well, things and appliances at the hotel just work, train station to get into Kitzbühel is super handy etc. Wonderful hotel as such, however - see below...

Bar personnel really not friendly, restaurant and in room dining closes at 9:30pm so after that time you really get nothing to eat anymore... this is not funny! And it's not the most centrally located hotel in Kitzbühel; quality of "software" (i.e., bathrobes, and bed sheets/bedding) is quite terrible as it's probably artificial garments or the like; spa closes at 7pm in the evening, and only opens again at 1pm - why?!?!

Hotel was top, nothing to add or to remove, If Sauna and Pool can work longer as 19:00 it is benefit as current working time is limiting us, as we ski until 18:00 and then arrive in hotel we need to run for dinner ( until 20;00 ) and we cant use any facility in hotel as Pool and sauna is already closed.

Breakfast was amazing. The spa was clean and an amazing space to relax.

The hotel is located quite far from everything. Spent a small fortune on taxis. There were quite a lot of insects in the room. The towels were too small.

Truly exceptional staff , so friendly and attentive. Beautiful property and accommodation very comfortable and well situated. We had a car which though not essential was a great help and parking undercover convenient and easy Food very generous and variable , we used the gym too which was excellent

We thought staying in the Steghaus meant we would eat there . It wasn’t a problem but we soon discovered half board meant we would eat in the main hotel . Wine list was comprehensive but we were suprised there was no desert wine offer

Very friendly and welcoming staff, attentive and competent, from reception to service in the restaurant to the spa. Rooms are beautiful, especially in the Steghaus. Excellent food. Highly recommend.

This would be a nice hotel as a couple but it is definitely not a family friendly hotel. Staff, guests, and lake club members all felt unwelcoming to children (8 and 13). Location is somewhat inconvenient in relation to town.

The hotel is situated in beautiful nature surrounded by mountains, forests, meadows and a lake. Everything fits into a wonderful concept and is in complete harmony with nature. The hotel was modernized in 2021, has incredibly beautiful and comfortable rooms and offers endless possibilities for social and sports activities, primarily water sports, skiing and mountain biking. The area around the hotel primarily encourages these activities, it is simply amazing. Amazing 6-course gastronomy and pleasant staff perfectly create pleasant well-being, relaxation and wonderful moments of rest. I highly recommend it to everyone. ZS

Large, tastefully-decorated rooms. (I had what they call a Penthouse, which has two floors and easily sleeps 4.)Overall very impressive public areas. Extensive spa.As far as room and physical facilities are concerned, Alpenhotel far exceeds most 5-star resorts I've recently stayed in. Staff are bright and efficient.

Poor meal options. Only one restaurant, with three choices for main course at lunch or dinner. The management may have made a business decision not to describe itself as 5-Star, so that it need not offer much in the way of dining options. It also has no laundry service, which is truly surprising.Room should have an easy chair for extended reading or relaxing.

Location and quality of accommodation and food

No air con, so need to keep window open and can get noise during night from people

I have an accident while I am skiing firt day. We booked 3 days but we had to leave 1 day before. I requested but they did no payback. It was not acceptable for hotel quality.

Loved the sauna in our room and onsite spa facility they had. Breakfast an dinner were also delicious and felt it offered so much more we didn't get to do!

Our only tiny thing we wished for was comfier pillows

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa was excellent and immaculate. Rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast service and options were fantastic. Dinner was good and decent wine menu with many Austrian options.

The transfer was limited to 430pm and didn’t go to Kitzbühel. The music choice was underwhelming at times.

The location is absolutely stunning, the staff very welcoming and the rooms simply but well designed. The welcome drinks , à la carte, is a very nice touch.

No turn down service, I feel that at this level it should be provided. I really dislike waking up to a bathroom that hasn’t been cleaned from the day before , with not enough towels. Also, it’s always nice to find a little treat or note at bedtime.

It’s beautifully furnished and located perfectly on the Schwarzsee in walking distance of Kitzbühel. Food and service are excellent. The wellness area and pool are amazing!

The hotel looked ever better than in the pictures. One of the best hotels I’ve visited. The swimming pool was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was very nice. We also had a private sauna in our room which was perfect. I also have to point out the cleanliness - everything was spotless.

The check out was a bit too early (10 AM), I would expect a later check out (ideally noon) at a hotel like this.

Incredible location on a beautiful (and warm) lake. Really high finish throughout, and amazing sauna complex. Delicious breakfasts.

There were no English menus available in the restaurants, and the service could be a little slow (e.g. waited over 15 mins to order a drink one evening).

The hotel itself has an impressive array of amenities and well maintained facilities. It is in a very nice location close to the lake with a nice contemporary architecture. I particularly enjoyed the swim in the morning and all the facilities along the lake. The hotel's breakfast and dining options were nice with a high quality of food and a variety of options to satisfy different tastes.

While the facility left a very positive impression, we encountered a few instances where the staff interaction did not meet the high level of service expected. On a couple of occasion, I was surprised that the staff was more focused on guests that seemed to have preferential treatment e.g. prime table reservation, check out process were the staff interrupted our check out to serve another more "premium" guest, long wait during dinner. Additionally, the room was not clean at our arrival as you would expect for this type of hotel, the mirror had plenty of fingerprint from previous guests, bath accessories not refurbished after day 1, no hair conditioner, no free bottle of water in the room. While the architecture of the facility is nice, the room itself was dark. I believe that improving staff responsiveness and communication could significantly enhance the overall guest experience. It would be wonderful to see the staff undergo additional training to ensure that each guest feels valued and attended to promptly.

The hotel is very beautifully designed and nicely located by the Schwarzee and at walking distance from Kitzbuhel (and very close to several hiking spots). The breakfast was abundant and tasty. The rooms are very big and comfortable and the staff at the reception was very friendly and accommodating.

Apart from the reception staff, all the personnel seemed to only speak German, which is strange for such a fancy hotel. As said above the rooms are very nice but those in the Steghaus, in spite of having a lovely view of the lake, sit right on top of a bar/restaurant with loud music starting at 9am until the evening, which is not great for those looking to relax. In our case - however - that was a non-issue as, when we flagged the noise to the reception, they were very kind and allowed us to move to another, quieter room in the other building.
