Nothing!!!
Strange paintings on walls, dirty floor, dirty table and chair, damp towels, strange furniture, and irregular shape of the "room". We arrived late at night. I was so shocked opening the door and could not fall into asleep, and fled once my son woke up next morning to make up sleep in another hotel. We lost one day of our previous vocation days in Europe as a result :(((
CheckIn facil et vite
Too cold, heater not heating. Bed in the middle of the room…
Great value, good service, eay check-in and check-out
no coffee/tea
The property is literally directly at the railway station direction Bern. Easy to commute.Easy car parking outside the property. This is an OK place to overnight. No staff, everything is do it yourself.
Close to the train station, out of the city, free parking, self checkin at the counter
Dirty towels and toilet (hairs), flies in the room (and many of them), hot (top floor, no AC), noise from the street, no soap, clogged sink,
Disappointed
The hotel is literally at a train station, and the windows open towards the train station, so imagine how loud it can be. They even put ear pluggers in the stairways to blend out the loudness at night, but they are left open in a box, totally unhygienic. The bed sheets were not clean, the shampoos were empty, no air conditioner, just a small ventilator. Also, the room was not prepared for three people. Not even enough glasses to drink water. And since it is a self-check in hotel, no support is there. Cannot recommend it, was definately not worth the price. I was expecting a real boutique hotel!!
Nothing at all
Everything, but apart from everything smelling like urine, the bed in the middle of the room (two singles together) with no headboard, no tea/coffee facilities, the location miles from anywhere, the room being dingy and hot without ventilation or aircon, no bedside tables, bedsheets smell of bleach and urine, two plug sockets well away from the bed, RIGHT now it is 2am and the noise outside is unbearable on the railway line - heavy machinery, grinding, sawing, shouting, add to this continuous train announcements. Tomorrow I have a long drive and it is going to be dangerous. I will update with photos. Right now I’m going downstairs to sleep in my car.
train was the only decent part of the trip, hotel was atrocious.
worst check in process, incredibly bitchy owner, disgusting room
The hostel is nearby the train station and is easy for you to check in and out as you don’t have to wait for the owner anymore bcz you can do it yourself.
the show has a bit of weird door that cant be properly closed
The overall decor was very nice, surprising from the outside.
The room and the beds were not very clean, the room was extremely hot with only a small fan provided, the noise outside was terrible, it was like the area outside the hotel came to life at midnight till about 3am, cars going past all night and filling up with fuel across the road at the 24hr fuel station all night, can see why they had a tray of earplugs on the stairs.
Nice location, quiet, and calm l. The bedroom is comfortable and there is no noise also if it is between the train station and the road. Easy to park in front of the hotel
Self check-in
Room was dirty , sheets werent changed, hairs all over the Bed. I couldn’t stay there anymore even though they offered to change the sheets even the room. Definitely very dissapointed from the hotel. I lost my money two times because i had to book another hotel.
Very comfortable beds. Smart check in worked well but of course that meant no staff to ask questions of
Beds crammed into an alcove with access only on one side so that I had to climb over my wife to get out of bed. No bedside lockers, no cups or glasses paper, plastic or otherwise we stayed on a Thursday night when the only restaurant in the area was closed ruhetag. Nothing else within 5 miles.
calm and nice staff.
the rooms really needs renovation, floor is dirty and it is not convenient as there is no elevator. close to train station
The hotel was clean. Location is directly near train station Schüpfen.
I unfortunately was not pleasantly surprised with the hotel. When you book, you don't see photos of the exact room you are getting but rather general. I was not expecting my bed to be located in the middle of the room and also not in a straight way. That didn't make the room look comfortable at all. The mattress was also not comfortable. There is no reception. When you do the Check-in on the automat, you get the Wi-Fi password. As I didn't know this will be the only time I see the password I didn't take a photo because I was in a hurry to get check-in done. I couldn't find the password anywhere afterwards and had to continue the night on data-roaming. No option in the Check-in automat to give "buisness travel" to ask for the company's address on the Invoice. So I had to write an EMail to the hotel after my stay to fix it.There are ear plugs but they're not individually packed but rather put in the hallway open for grabs. That didn't feel hygienic at all. All in all it was just ok and absolutely no value for the money I paid unfortunately.
Hotel is next to train station, one can even use the park and rail parking and there is an AVEC convenience store very close to buy fresh bread in the morning and all essentiels. It is fairly quiet (outside in the countryside) and the BLS train takes one to Bern within 20-30min. I appreciated the extra towels. Not quite sure why I had no access to the lounge room-would have liked to work there with my laptop instead of having to use the cold, rusty and small metal desk in the room. The bed was comfortable despite the cold, metal bed frame.
One has to get used to the 24/7 concept (no staff around). There was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the entrance door to my room. Had it been forgotten by the cleaning staff? Otherwise, the roomed seemed clean. The “metal” furniture is unusual and not so user friendly. Chair wasn’t comfortable and the metal (rusted) desk plate makes working “cold”. I think the price is highly exaggerated (CHF 155.10 with genius discount) for a room of that small dimension with no balcony in a place like Schüpfen, especially if there is no staff, no breakfast included and lack of comfort.
Cheaper than staying in centre of Bern and right next door to station.
Far too hot but did provide a fan.
